By the time they reached at the Raghuvanshi Haveli it was already late at night and Abhidnya had dozzed off in her sleep.

Stopping the car infront of the entrance, Adhavan came out of the car and carefully carried Abhidnya inside the Haveli. But instead of taking the living room corridor, he directly took the way for the West wing.

Adhavan had no idea in which room she is staying so he took her to his own chamber. He laid her carefully on his bed. Removing her footwear, he covered her with the quilt.

An evil smirk appeared on his face. Adhavan caressed Abhidnya's shoulder bone. He slightly pulled down Abhidnya's sleeves and with the sight his smirk turned more gruesome. His eyes held another level of sadist satisfaction while eyeing a particular spot on her shoulder.

He took a carefull look at her face and retracted his steps backward while looking at Abhidnya then he abruptly turned around and walked straight into his closest.

He stood in front of the potrait present inside the closet. In the potrait it seems like he is holding a a sword but it was made in such a way that it camouflages the key which is hidden in the fuller part of the sword.

A victorious smirk again appeared on his face. He pulled out the long key and rolled it inside the lock of a small wooden mosaic architecture box which is kept secluded in the corner of his closest.

Unlocking the lock he removed the cover of the box which had a chess board inside it. It is not any random common chess board. It is a rare custom made chess board where the chess pieces are carved in such a way that each of them depicts the individual's facial structure.

Adhavan picked a chess piece which resonates the facial features of Chetanraj (Abhidnya's uncle). Adhavan hit the chess piece with other two chess pieces which resembles the facial shape of Ramya and Veer Pratap making the latter pieces fall in defeat.

"Either chess or life, there will be only one King and everybody has to bow down infront of him. And who tries to double check they indeed get checkmate", Adhavan mumbled with vice dripping from his tone.

With a humourous wicked chuckle he closed the wooden box. Locking it safely, he fixed the key again in the potrait making it camouflaged for others.

He took out the pictures from his jacket which he got from Abhidnya's wardrobe. Looking at each one of them for the last time, he kept it safely in one of the lockers.

While changing into his comfy set of night clothes he remembered something which his sharp orbs didn't miss while he was collecting the pics from her wardrobe.

He picked his phone and texted his secretary, Anya about something and went to the bedroom. He sat on the couch right infront of Abhidnya and kept watching her for a long time before he went to sleep on the couch present in the living room of his chamber.

NEXT DAY MORNING

Abhidnya woke up around 5 in the morning. She took a brief glance at the surrounding and caressed the area of the bed beside her hich had no wrinkles which is a sign that Adhavan wasn't there beside her, sharing the same bed.

She rubbed her face slowly and then collected all the hair and tied it in a loose bun. Coming out of the bed she was about to leave but then again she turned around and made the bed wrinkle free and folded the quilt, arranging the pillows at the head board.

Sighing with satisfaction she walked out from Adhavan's chamber to her room. She went inside the washroom to get freshen up. After washing her face she wiped her neck, her eyes travelled down to her collar bone. She slide down her sleeves and a lone tear escaped her eyes.
