Giving a last look at the haveli Adhavan turned to leave. But Abhidnya was standing there looking at the burning haveli.
She was absorbing the demolition of her memories.Adhavan looked at her and spoke his heart out, "yeh karna zaroori tha Abhidnya. Hum bhi ek insaan hain. Hume bhi takleef hoti hai. Aur yeh haveli barsho se hume haunt karti aa rahi hai. Humare jinda rehne ke liye iska jalna jaruri tha"
Abhidnya took a deep sigh. This time she didn't argue. She understood Adhavan's actions.
"Apke liye ese kai villa tyag kar sakti hun. Yeh villa mein aapki yaadein hain isiliye isse chahti thi. Jab yeh apko hi pasand nhi toh yeh villa yaadon ka ghar nhi par baas char dewar aur ek chat hai....aur aab toh woh bhi nhi", Abhidnya sadly chuckled and turned around to look at Adhavan's back.
"Baas ek prashna hai humare mann mein", Abhidnya said
Adhavan gave her a side eye, urging her to proceed.
"Yeh villa apko haunt karti thi toh apne isse jala diya. Humne apko itni baari hurt kiya hai toh kya aap hume bhi ek din jala denge?", Abhidnya asked in a shivering voice.
Adhavan chuckled hearing her question and gradually his lips turned into a smirk, "koi hum pe marta hai toh hum usse hum mar nhi dalte, usse apne sath jeena sikhate hain"
Adhavan caressed her cheeks while looking into her eyes, "Hum apko meri Jaan keh kar nhi pukarte, hum apko meri rouh kehte hain. Marne par toh sarir ke sath jaan jal jati hai par rouh...woh har bandhan se azad ho jati hai, jalaye nhi jalti, mitaye nhi mit ti. Uska moh kisi ke qaid mein nhi hota, woh har bandish par kar jati hai. Aap humari rouh hai Abhidnya, hum mar bhi jayen, jal bhi jayen, na apko mar sakenge na jala sakenge"
Adhavan turned his heels and started walking near the parked cars. Abhidnya followed him silently.
Kartavya with a comforting smile opened the door for Abhidnya to sit inside the car.
Abhimanyu was leaning on the trunk of the car while smoking leisurely. He offered Adhavan his cigarette but Adhavan refused.
"Yeh zaruri tha?", Abhimanyu asked while pointing at the burning villa.
Adhavan didn't reply rather he looked at Yash who was ogling at the burning villa.
"If you are done staring then call the fire brigade to extinguish the fire", Abhimanyu shouted at him
"Ghar se call aya tha. Sab pahunch gaye hain. Rituals ke liye prepare kar rahe hain. Puch rahe thay aur kitna time lagega, meine handle kar liya hai", Kartavya informed to which Adhavan nodded
"She had spent her entire life with her innumerable memories in this villa and you destroyed it in front of her eyes. She might not like it", Abhimanyu said again
"She has terrible memories in this villa as well. We fought and broke up. She cried for Vhavya. She was hurt by her parents. Her mother restricted her to dance; prohibiting her to come out of the room for years, her father made a deal out of her sitting in this villa. She had the heartbroken memories of witnessing the brutal death of her parents in this villa. I did it just not for myself but for her as well. Sam dam dand bhed. I did it for us.".
Abhidnya too heard it since the window was open.
All of them settled in the car. Kartavya took the passenger seat while Abhimanyu decided to drive. He fixed the mirror and looked at Abhidnya who was silently sitting beside Adhavan.
Abhimanyu blinked his eyes in assurance. Abhidnya then looked at Adhavan who had closed his eyes, hands crossed and head rested on the head support.
Bringing the car into ignition, they started their journey to the haveli.
