H A P P Y - E N D

The school bells rang for the last time today, signaling that it was time to go home. If I still could call it home, it still felt weird to know that Cara, the one who ruined multiple lives, used to be my neighbor.

Even though it has been six months since all this happened it still felt like it was yesterday.

I tried to forget about it, about her. But it wasn't that easy. Even right now, walking down the hallways gave me flashbacks of us and all my other friends having fun together.

But life also turned back to the good, a week ago I got accepted into NYU, my dream university. I couldn't wait for summer to begin and to move to New York and to leave Laguna Beach behind. Another place filled with bad memories which I rather forget.

After a while I finally reached the exit and left the school building. I walked over to the parking lot where he was already waiting for me.

Cooper started to smile as soon as he saw me.

NYU wasn't the only good thing that happened, three months ago Cooper asked me to be his girlfriend.

I walked up to him, also smiling.

"Hey," he said and gave me a kiss.

It was a miracle that he was still alive, that both of us were alive.

After I killed Cara quickly hurried over to Cooper and Jules and called for help, even though my phone was barely working anymore since the whole screen was cracked.

Luckily the ambulance arrived quickly, they took all of us to the hospital. While I was at the hospital for a few days, I had to answer a lot of questions to the police, telling them what exactly happened. Since I killed her as self defense there weren't any consequences waiting for me.

But I still felt guilty for killing her and it wouldn't leave my mind. But luckily I still had Cooper who distracted me from these thoughts.

"I thought we could go to the beach today," Cooper said. I really liked the idea to chill out after an exhausting school day. But in the back of my mind was still the scene from when we first found Mason, killed by Cara.

I had to forget about that and to look into the future.

"I like that," I told Cooper with a smile.

"Hey guys!" A voice from behind called.

Jules, also she survived the attack of Cara even though it seemed even worse for her to survive, but luckily she did.

"Hey Jules," Both Cooper and I said in sync, making us chuckle.

"Do you also want to come to the beach with us?" I asked her.

"Yeah, I would love to." she said.

All those tragic events made us grow closer and Jules and I became best friends. With Jules I was sure that she was an actual friend and wouldn't betray me.

"Okay, let's go. Get in the car." Cooper announced.

We all got in, Cooper at the driver seat and Jules and I in the back. He started the car and we drove down the road, playing some music as loud as possible, with the windows rolled down so everyone could hear.

Like I said in the beginning, I wish I'd never come here, but if I wouldn't have, I wouldn't have met Jules and Cooper and they were everything I needed in my life.
