CHAPTER 15

Pehli dafaa jo hone laga hai

Pehle huaa na kabhi

Mehsoos dil ne jo bhi kiya hai

Lafzon mein keh doon abhi

“ Whom?” Darshit said.

Mr joshi looked at Mrs Joshi and said, “ Priya, ab waqt aa gaya hai ki ham purani baato ko bhulkar ek nayi shuruwaat  kare. I think we should talk to them and invite them to our son’s  wedding. Mujhe yaqeen hai wo mana nahi karenge” 

“ But—“ 

“ please, for our son’s  sake” Mr. Joshi said.

“ Wait wait wait, what are you both talking about? What am I missing?” Darshit asked, looking confused at his parents.

“Your family, Darshit,” Mr. Joshi said.

“Family?” Darshit asked, confused.

“Yes, your mother’s family is also your family, right?” Mr. Joshi replied.

“Mom, what is Dad talking about? What family of yours don’t I know about?” Darshit asked.

Darshit’s mother didn’t say anything. She looked at Darshit and then at his father.

“Well, your mother has a sister. Years ago, we both eloped to get married, and because of that, your mother’s family cut ties with her. It’s been a long time now, and we think it’s time to move forward and reconnect with them,” Mr. Joshi explained the whole situation.

“Okay, wait. Stop. I have an aunt, and I’m just finding out about this now? This is huge,” Darshit said, trying to process the revelation.

“I’m sorry, son. But you and your sister were young and naive. If we had told you, you might have insisted on meeting them, and at that time, it wouldn’t have been easy for us. That’s why we kept it from you,” Mrs. Joshi said apologetically.

“ well okay. So, when are we meeting them?” Darshit asked.

“ seeing the time we have left in our hands, we should do it today.” It was Aahan. The three of them looked at him. “ and yaa, I’m  coming with you guys.” He completed.

“ You?” mr. Joshi said.

“ It’s  okay dad. AR is more like family. Him joining us would be helpful.” Darshit said.

“ Okay, let’s  go then” Mr. Joshi said and all of them left the villa.
