Hi everyone, before we get started with the next chapter I just wanted to say a massive thank you to everyone who has read this story so far. I haven't written anything in years and this was very much a little project to entertain myself that I wasn't really expecting anyone to read! So thank you all, and all feedback is very welcomed, let me know what you think as I'd love to improve my writing more!

There's only a few more chapters left, but I've loved writing this and I hope you've enjoyed reading it too! Xx

You and me, forevermore
Don't read the last page
But I stay when it's hard, or it's wrong, or we're making mistakes
I want your midnights
But I'll be cleaning up bottles with you on New Year's Day

The pair of them had fallen asleep on the sofa, Lando being woken by his mum only a few hours after he'd finally got to sleep. She shook his shoulder gently, careful not to disturb Hannah, and then gestured in the direction of the kitchen wanting him to follow her.

He very carefully untangled himself from Hannah, watching for a second as she relaxed back into the sofa, seemingly undisturbed by him getting up and going to find his Mum.

"Everything okay?" She asked as he walked into the kitchen.

He ran his fingers through his hair, not knowing what the answer to that question was. "I... it's complicated." He sighed.

"It always is." Cisca nodded, sliding a cup of coffee across the kitchen counter at him.

"I have no idea if I'm doing the right thing." Lando sighed, taking the mug from her in the hope the caffeine might revive him enough for his brain to start working properly.

What he wanted to do, was go and find Cassie and give her whatever it was she wanted to shut her up so he could relax and Hannah could live her life in peace without the threat of her dropping some kind of bombshell hanging over her. What he wasn't sure about was how that would go down. He didn't know Cassie well enough to know if paying her off would shut her up or just give her more ammunition for whatever it was she was up to.

"Is it still that whole thing with her manager?" Cisca asked. "Because you never did tell me what had happened there."

Lando nodded. He'd phoned his mum and warned her to tell his sisters not to ask, but hadn't given any more details than that. "I don't know why she seems hell-bent on making Hannah's life quite so difficult. She's already screwed up her career, ended her relationship with Joe and now what? She wants more? Can we not just be happy?"

"I think you've both done incredibly well to make it this far. It's not been easy." Cisca said softly. "I'm proud of you, being there for her through all this."

"I feel like I should be doing more," Lando confessed. "I just don't know what to do. I don't want to make it any worse."

"I don't think she is expecting you to try and fix all her problems for her, Lando. And I don't think you need to try. Just be there to help her through it, that's all anyone can ask."

"Thanks, Mum." He nodded, taking a sip of his coffee.

"I really like her, Lando. It might not have been the most straightforward time but she's been good for you, you've really grown up." Cisca smiled at him fondly. "You'll let me know won't you, when I need to start looking for a hat, for the wedding?"
