I don't like your little games, don't like your tilted stage

The role you made me play, of the fool, no I don't like you

"Are you sure you don't mind?" Hannah asked again.

"It's fine, Hannah. As long as you're sure you want to do this." Lando repeated. The two of them were busy tidying up his flat for the imminent arrival of the film crew from Netflix.

Alice had negotiated that they would make an hour-long documentary, featuring a 'tell-all' interview with Hannah after all attempts to stop Cassie from publishing her book had failed.

"It's just it's your house and..." she trailed off, looking around.

It was very recognisable that it was Lando's house they were in. The racing memorabilia, trophies, helmets and photos were all over the place. It was cosy and she loved it, but she felt bad about inviting the chaos of a film crew into his home during his time off.

"It's your home too." He reminded her, pulling her into a hug.

It was true, over the three weeks that had passed since she'd put her house in Miami up for sale they'd had numerous conversations about where she was going to live, up until the point where Lando had finally plucked up the courage to suggest that she moved in with him in Monaco.

She smiled up at him. "This is true... god I can't believe I'm going to do this."

"You can still change your mind?" He offered. "I just won't let them in when they get here."

"I don't have a choice." She reminded him. "If this is coming out there then at least it can be on my terms, right?"

"Right." He agreed. "And I'll be right here the whole time. I promise."

"I love you." She whispered.

"I love you too, and no matter what happens after all this, we'll be fine. I'm not going anywhere, okay?" He reassured her.

He wasn't particularly happy with the arrangement, but he could kind of see why Hannah and Alice had reluctantly agreed that they didn't have a choice. The progress on the law suit was slow, and it meant the book was going to come out before they could do anything. They could sue Cassie for damages, and maybe even stop further sales of the book, but once it was out there it was already too late.

And so the only option that was left was for Hannah to tell her own story before the world got Cassie's version.

"I'll go get the door." He offered as there was a knock, unwrapping his arms from around her and heading off to let what he assumed was Alice in.

"Hey, Lando." Alice smiled as she stepped inside. "How's it going?"

He glanced back over his shoulder to where Hannah was rearranging all the pillows on the sofa for the fifth time. "She's nervous."

"Me too," Alice confessed.

"We're sure she has to do this?" He asked again. He'd lost track of how many times he'd asked this question since the filming had been booked.

"It's what she wants to do." Alice shrugged. "I get it, if someone's going to air all your dirty laundry for the world to see then you might as well make sure you get to have your say in how it happens?"

"Yeah I know, I just... it doesn't seem fair. She's been through enough already." He ran his fingers through his hair, trying to shake off the anxiety he felt about the whole thing.
