I just want to say a massive thank you to everyone who's read, voted and commented on this story. It means the world to me, we've reached the penultimate chapter in Hannah and Lando's story! The final chapter will be up this evening, I won't lie I'm a little bit sad to be finishing this. For now, enjoy!xx

Ask me what I learned from all those years
Ask me what I earned from all those tears
Ask me why so many fade, but I'm still here

'Cause karma is the thunder
Rattling your ground
Karma's on your scent like a bounty hunter
Karma's gonna track you down
Step by step from town to town
Sweet like justice, karma is a queen
Karma takes all my friends to the summit
Karma is the guy on the screen
Coming straight home to me

Lando had a fantastic start to the season, a P2 in Bahrain followed by a P1 in Saudi Arabia. Hannah had been front row cheering him on the whole time, crying tears of absolute joy as he'd run over to her after he climbed out of the car. It confirmed her decision to post-phone things and keep herself free to travel and support him. She wanted nothing more than to be the one he came running to when he won and be there to celebrate with him.

The bubble of the win in Saudi Arabia was quite short-lived, the two of them boarding a plane bound for New York only a few hours after the race had ended. She had tried to reason with Lando and get him to stay and celebrate his win with the rest of the team. Lily had even tried to reason with him on Hannah's behalf, pointing out that it made very little sense for him to fly to New York when the next race was in Australia, but he was having none of it.

So instead of a night out with the rest of the team, the two of them quietly celebrated the win on the flight back. There was a quiet air of confidence about Lando like he was starting to believe that this year might be his year, and Hannah was keeping everything crossed that it was going to be the truth.

It seemed insane to her that this time two years ago she'd been finishing up the Asian leg of her tour, ready to head onto Australia, without ever having met Lando. She'd known the name of course from watching the races on the TV, but that was as far as it went.

She'd still been half convinced she and Joe would end up back together, that was the way her life was supposed to go she'd been sure. How things had changed.

"You're awfully quiet over there," Lando whispered, leaning over the armrest between the two of them to rest his head on her shoulder.

"Just thinking." She said softly, running her hand through the messy curls on top of his head. "How are you feeling after your big win?"

"I'm so tired." He yawned. "I still can't believe it was real. I mean I know it's early in the season but the car feels so good..." he trailed off, unable to actually say the words for fear of ruining it for himself.

"I know." She smiled. "I'm excited for you."

"What are you thinking about?" He asked, blinking sleepily.

Hannah laughed quietly, she could hear in his voice that he was already half asleep. She was surprised he'd lasted this long, normally when they got on a flight he was asleep before they'd been taken off.

"I was just thinking how funny it is, this time two years ago we didn't know each other. I was in a hotel somewhere with Cassie getting ready to head to Australia on the tour... I had no idea any of this was going to happen." She told him.
