Y/N's P.O.V

BookStore. I discovered this library three weeks ago, before summer break started. The place was located at a very quiet place in the outskirts of Los Angeles. It was at a quiet neighbourhood where there weren't annoying kids who made noises throughout the day, and there weren't that much noisy cars and motorcycles. It's a really nice place; since many people go to Barnes & Noble (bookstore and public library in the states). I especially didn't want to meet the people from my school too.

As I went in BookStore, Mrs. Lockhart greeted me with a warm smile.

"Good afternoon Y/N! 4:00 again!" Mrs. Lockhart said. I wasn't good at having conversations with people; especially old people. It made me uncomfortable and I don't know why. So what I did is that I nodded while smiling so it wouldn't be disrespectful and just walked away; going to the second floor.

The fiction section at the second floor was my 'spot' (sorry if that was cliché). When I stay and read there, I feel so calm; engrossed by the book/s that I read. I usually sit in between the rows. It made my butt feel comfortable rather than the wooden seats they had at the first floor, and second, I had to admit that I felt really artsy.

I looked through the row of 'P' and found Paper Towns by John Green. I took it and put it down on the spot where I was going to sit; planning to borrow it later and read it at home.

I was currently reading If I Stay. The part where Adam was finding a way to get to see Mia in the hospital room that she was staying on. It made me think about how Adam really loved Mia. His love for her was so strong that he even tried to break in the room by disguising into a janitor or something. It made me wonder when I would find real love. But no; that only happens in books right?

All of a sudden,I stopped reading because I heard footsteps.

Have you ever noticed that someone was looking, or staring at you? when you're looking back? or when you're looking sideways? that's what i'm feeling right now. I think someone's staring at me. I thought that it was Mr. Lockhart at first since he always changes the light bulbs; but when I finally gathered my strength to look back, it was a worker. A guy worker. He was at the 'B' row, and he was arranging the books, but then his hands weren't moving. Instead, he was looking at me. I suddenly felt really uncomfortable.

"Uh..." He quietly said. I hope he finally realised that he was looking because thank god he went back to work. I instantly focused back into my book again.

As time flew, he was working near me; and I looked at his face when he wasn't looking.

he's kinda attractive??? i thought.

and no, I did not say it out loud. But I continued reading my book. I could feel his stare again.

"Why do you keep on staring?" I asked him. I couldn't stand it anymore, but I liked it at the same time; so I made the urge to ask and talk to him.

"Uh... I... Um... Was just wondering if you were borrowing those books." He replied. I chuckled at his response. He was shy and I immediately found it cute.

"Well, I--um.. I own this...If I Stay, but i'm planning on borrowing Paper Towns." Shit. I didn't expect my so-confident reply to go out of my mouth like I was shy. So to cover it, I smiled at him. He looked away with a tiny smirk on his face and continued to do his work. What the hell?

After he finished his work, he asked me what my name was, and I told him. He told me that his name was Jisoo. He looked older than me, but not THAT old. I told him that I came here everyday in 4:00 in the afternoon; and he smiled. We both did some small talk, and I don't know why he makes me smile and laugh so easily.

Was it because of his looks?

He was making it difficult for me to normally talk to him since i always end up being shy.

As we both said our goodbyes, I went down the stairs to the first floor to go borrow Paper Towns. As Jisoo said, his co-worker was the boy who was always working at the counter; wearing his headphones, his loud music making it difficult for me to tell him that i'm borrowing the book. But I somehow caught his attention by staring at him in a are-you-serious face.

"Ehem.. uh... are you borrowing this book?" The boy 'Hansol' stated. I nodded.

obviously! I thought, as I almost rolled my eyes at him.

As Hansol scanned the book, he gave it back to me; saying that I have to return it by next week. I just nodded and mumbled a thank you before going out of the store and head home.

Am I gonna meet Jisoo tomorrow?
