Chapter XIX

Chapter 19

<near immediately after chapter 17>

Exavier's eyes flicked open. He sucked in a sharp breath of thin end air sitting up.
Now that Exavier was fully conscious and aware, he noticed several things that he didn't beforehand. His armor was gone as was his mask. Luckily he still had his regular gray shirt and pants the he wore under his armor.
Exavier groaned as he sat up sore from the rock floor.
He had no idea what time of day it was as he had been asleep and there was no way to tell because of the lack of windows.
A headache started forming as he stood up noticing the lack of a door in the room.
"Hidden door maybe?" He whispered to himself pressing his hand on the wall in front of him feeling for anything other than smooth cold wall.
He felt nothing running his hands down the first wall. Same with the other three. He was thoroughly trapped unless he wanted to break his fists to chip away the unknown walls.

Exavier paced the room for what felt like hours but what could have been minutes or days. Time had become imperceptible and the only thing he might be able to track time with was his hunger but even that barely deteriorated.
Exavier had resorted to just banging his head on one of the walls bored out of his mind in the blank gray room trying to think of a way to get out.
Minutes and hours ticked by, dragging slowly on.
Time seemed to speed up and slow down making Exavier lose all sense of time.
'Eventually' Exavier thought. 'They have to do something right?'

Less than what felt like a minute to EX a glowing broken portal symbol appeared on one of the blank black walls.
Exavier scrambled up facing the wall and backing away from it.
"⊣ᒷℸ ̣  ℸ ̣ ⍑ᒷ ᔑ↸ᒲ╎リ" A voice said.
Dark purple magic slipped through the portal entering the room.
Exavier's eyes widened.
'Was this how they killed Xel?' Exavier thought panicked. 'Lock him away and then kill him?'
The magic slithered closer backing Exavier into a corner.
It crept closer till it snaked around Exavier's leg touching it.
Pain burst from the area the magic touched muscles spasmed and froze locked in place making Exavier unable to move.
Everything burned as the magic made its way up his back twisting itself around him paralyzing every part it touched.
Exavier groaned trying his best not to collapse and scream in pain.
"Fuck off." Exavier gritted. There wasn't a response from the portal or the beings behind it.
As the magic creeped up Exavier's chest towards his neck Exavier's legs gave out making him crumble forwards.
Exavier tried pulling himself up with his still un-paralyzed arms. "Shit." Exavier hissed out feeling as if fire laced his blood burning him from the inside out.
"ℸ ̣ ᔑꖌᒷ ⍑╎ᒲ ℸ ̣ 𝙹 ℸ ̣ ⍑ᒷ ∷𝙹𝙹ᒲ" The voice from the portal said as the paralyzing magic reached his neck near choking Exavier with his lungs fully paralyzed.
Choking and still barely able to move Exavier was on the verge of passing out once again in this damned place.
Purple filled his vision as the paralytic magic snaked around his head and face and everything blinked away.
