Yozora pov: prologue

When i died, i would have expected someone like me to have gone to hell. Yet when i awoke i was holding hands with Faye, my girlfriend and seemed to be lying on what seemed to be clouds. I stood up and shook Faye awake. She stood up in a daze and we began walking unconciously toward the golden gate in front of us, where we were greeted by a cheerful angel.
"Hiya! Im St Peter... And may i get your names please?"
"Faye and Melody-Yozora Hoshino." Faye answered for me.
He flipped through his book and pondered for a bit and said "Oh- Here you are!Alright then...." The gates opened and two angels with 6 wings each greeted us.
The taller one spoke first. "Hello, and welcome to heaven! We are the serafims, the higher-ups of heaven. I am sera and we have been waiting a long time for your arrival."
"Nice to meet you! Im Emily!" The shortes serafim said in an excited tone.
I smiled at them as i rethought Seras words. Why would she be waiting for us? Whatever.
We entered the gates and St peter and Emily began telling us about the city of Heaven and blah blah blah. After a bit of walking we stopped at a building and went in.
"This is where the new souls go when they arrive. To check in to the city and recieve their job assignment. This is the heart of the city and also where angels truly become angels." said Sera.
Me and Faye walked over to the counter to check in.
"Hi, can i get your names?" Said the clerk
We answered with our names and she opened a file and took two pieces of paper out.
"Alrighty, here you go....oh and one last thing before you get your job assignment, would you like to change anything in your profile? Name, age and such?" The clerk asked
I shook my head and to my surprise Faye began to speak.
"Would you mind if i change my name? I don't really like my current one." She requested
"Okay then , so just to get the paperwork done what would your new name be?" The clerk asked.
Faye looked at me and asked "What do you feel about Lute?"
"Im okay with anything as long as you like it." i replied with pure sincerity.
"Lute it is, thanks." Faye...err... Lute said.
The clerk wrote some stuff on the paper and passed a yellow slip to both of us and we went back to Sera, Emily and St Peter. They led us down the hallway and stopped at a room with a gold door, with the name Adam engraved on the gold plate on the door. Sera took Lute's yellow slip and said "Please go in. You job assignment is to be lieutenant of the angelic army and assistant of the general of the army,Adam. Once you are done with your chat with him, please wait for us here."
Lute nodded and went in.
I tried to follow, but Sera stopped me, and motioned for me to follow. We went to the end of the hallway and entered a similar room, but the plate was engraved with Sera. Once she went in she looked sternly at me.
"Melody, you have been entrusted with great honor and power. You have brought love and happiness to countless people on earth in your past life, and gained much power and support. Therefore, you have been chosen to become a serafim, like me and emily. It is a great burden and honor, and i want to know whether you are ready for this. Note that this is a once in a lifetime chance, as we rarely ever choose people to be serafims." Sera said in a serious tone.
I nodded with uncertainty.
"Good. Then please sign this contract, and you shall be pronounced as Melody Hoshino for the rest of your life here, the serafim of love, peace, harmony and happiness."
I signed it and Sera nodded with approval and Emily smiled at me.
"Its nice to finally have another fellow serafim!" She exclaimed. I had no idea what i just did but up until now i do not regret it. Nothing could be worse than being an idol to me.
We went back out to the hallway and got Lute.  She looked kind of uncertain and i guessed she was probably feeling the same as me. We took the lift to the third floor into a bright room with multiple machines.
"Ooh ooh ooh! yay! Okay. So this is where it all happens. Where angels get their uniforms, wings and halos. Eeeeeeee! This is sooooo exciting!!!" Emily squealed.
Sera motioned us forward and we went into the first boxlike machine. There was a brilliant flash of light as the machine sealed up its entrance and i felt something coming out of my back. When i opened my eyes the machine had opened the exit and i realised that i had just sprouted my wings, six of them, just like Sera and Emily. Lute came out a little later than i did and i realised she only had 2 wings. I didn't have time to talk to her before i was ushered into another machine where i felt something being put on my head. It was a halo! Once again, Lute's halo was different from mine but that's okay. And then we recieved our uniforms and were forced to change into them in the changing rooms. My uniform was a blue and white gown-like outfit, yet when i put it on it became short sleeved, and the skirt had shortened to something similar to my idol outfit.
"Oh." Sera said when i came out. "The angelic outfits read your personality and adjusts itself to make itself comfortable for you, but any case this is fine."
Lute came out soon afterward wearing her dark coloured uniform. She smiled at me and soon we were arranging our living arrangements. Originally i was assigned to a house by myself, and Lute had to live with Adam, but we both insisted we live together, so we ended up having to live with Adam. Not that i mind or anything. It can't be that bad, right? So we soon moved in and we were to begin working next week. I can tell this isn't gonna be bad!
