Tyler was so excited for school to start because she had made it to her dream team UConn the best place for basketball in her opinion college was gonna be her time she had already made her mind up she was gonna focus on studies and sports only no extra distractionsUConn gave her a full ride to college which was very helpful since she has a single mom who's raising three kids all by herself any extra money Tyler has ever made has always gone to her family she has twin little brothers fin and Derek she would do anything for her baby brothers she wanted to show them and her mom that they were gonna be okay they are gonna make it no more struggling for money and Tyler put all of this pressure on herself
Her dad passed away from cancer when she was only 6 and the twins were only 1 so majority of her life it's just been her and her mom and the twins Tyler and her dad were very close before his passing he's actually who got her into basketball at a very young age he used to play it in high school
Today is the day Tyler leaves home for college and her had worked it out with the school and her coaches to let her get an apartment as a freshman for her family in case your brothers visit and need to stay with her
Playing in high school basketball Tyler had met some now big rising stars but they are just her friends Jada and Tyler have grown up together
Saying goodbye has always been Tyler's least favorite part
"Come here Ty" Finn said wrapping Tyler into a hug that Derek joined soon after
"All of kiddos in the same house for the last time for awhile is making me emotional" Tyler's mom says tearing up
"Mom you'll see me soon and you can always visit or send the boys my way if you ever get stuck too busy with nursing" Tyler says kissing her moms cheek
