The next three games you averaged seventeen points which was making you start to feel like all your hard work was finally starting to pay off

Nika has been staying up late the past couple days with you while you did all your homework and studying Nika being a junior knew how hard freshman year was so she was always there to help you and make sure you didn't over work yourself

Currently you are sitting at the kitchen counter working on statistics questions for your class it's currently midnight when Nika walks out from y'all's room in pj shorts and a sports bra with her wet hair thrown up in a towel she kisses you on the cheek before sitting down next to you

" let me see how many you've gotten right" Nika says grabbing your scratch paper and opening the practice answer key on her phone

You watch in anticipation as she looks over your work and answers looking between her phone and your work she looks up at you with a big smile

"Baby you got all ten of the practice questions right your studying is paying off"Nika says setting your scratch paper back down on the counter before she gets up off the kitchen stool

She stands up infront of you you lean up capturing her lips into a soft kiss

"Okay you've done enough work for tonight let's go to bed baby" Nika says dragging you up off the kitchen stool

You walk off infront of Nika towards y'all's room

"I could get used to this sight Tyler" Nika says from behind you causing you to turn around laughing at her face

"Nika baby stop drooling it's just weird when you do it out of nowhere you weirdo" you say laughing walking off faster towards y'all's room Nika speeds up behind you trying to catch you

"Tyler Elizabeth you did not just call me a weirdo for admiring my gorgeous girlfriend" Nika says hot on your heels you jump on the bed trying to get away from Nika and she jumps landing on top of you

"I like you in this position pinned under me" Nika says leaning over you looking down her towel has fallen in the floor so her wavy damp hair is sprawled over her shoulders

"I think I'm in love with you" you say quietly looking up at Nika

You see nikas eyes go wide and mouth close shut

"Nika you don't have to say it back I just wanted to tell you how I felt" you say rambling worried you had messed everything up

She watches you almost as if she searching for the words to say

At that moment Paige and azzi barge in laughing

"Bitches who's ready for crumble cookie" Paige says all excited then she goes quiet when her and azzi see your faces

You are biting the inside of your cheek feeling like you just scared your girlfriend away forever

Nika gets up off the bed without a word and walked into the bathroom closing the door Paige and azzi look at you confused and you sigh and cover your face with your hands feeling like you are on the brink of crying

Paige walks over to your bed and sits down beside you

"Hey it's okay ty whatever it is she will get over it come on azzi will take you back to her dorm for a bit while I talk to my twin" Paige says trying to control what's happening she hugs you once she helps you off the bed and you follow azzi out of the dorm

"So what happened Ty" azzi asked trying to understand the situation better

"I told nika that I think I'm in love with her and it's like she just shut off" you say your voice wavering as you tell back what happened
