Chp 2- The dance

We went out the Tardis door and we were at a palace at night time. There were lots of people and lots of beautiful lanterns lighting up the place.
"Thats a lot of people," Ruby scanned the amount of people going up the steps to the palace.
"Do you need me to hold your hand?" I joked.
"No but I'll hold your hand anyway," Ruby took my hand.
I blushed hard but looked away to hide it.

We went inside and lots of people were dancing.
"Shall we dance m'lady," I playfully nudged Ruby.
"Will be not be beheaded?" Ruby looked at me.
"No, we can just say we're sisters," I shrugged.
"Okay," Ruby pulled me to the dance floor and we danced around together holding both of each other's hands.

We were having fun and laughing until a man came over.
"You ladies seem to be having fun," The man spoke and me and Ruby stopped spinning round, "I'm William. And what am I to call you two sisters."
I smiled, glad he thought we were sister and didnt come to behead us.
"I'm Ruby," She linked her arm with mine.
"And I'm Y/N," I introduced myself too.

"Well Ruby," William turned to Ruby, "May I have this dance?"
"Well... I- my sister- I-" Ruby looked between me and William.
"Ruby its okay. I'll be at the side with the doctor okay?" I assured her.
"Okay," She slowly nodded and gave me a tiny smile before slipping her arm off mine.
She took Williams hand and they walked off to dance.

I sighed and walked back to the doctor.
"Wheres Ruby?" He asked.
"Dancing... with a William," I said with a little subtle disgust.
"Oh! I know that tone," The doctor chuckled.
I looked at him and logged my eyebrows, "What tone?"
"Oh come on! The tone!" He said as if it was the most obvious thing in the world.

He stepped closer to me and whispered, "You like her."
"No I don't," I looked down.
"You like Ruby!" The doctor grinned.
"Fine I like Ruby," I mumbled.
"I'm sorry I didn't hear you," The doctor stuck out his ear in my direction.
"I like Ruby," I said louder.
"And your jealous cause Sir William took her from you to dance," The doctor assumed.
"Yeah! But its not like i can tell her. We just met," I sighed.
"I get that. Come here," The doctor hugged me and rubbed my back.
