Chp 9- Birthday

My birthday. It was finally my birthday! I loved my birthday. Always such a fun day and now i'd be able to share it for the first time with Ruby. We had been dating for several months now.

I woke up in my bed but Ruby wasn't there. I remembered we slept in the same bed last night. I looked to my left and saw a note on the bedside table. As soon as i saw it, I quickly snatched it into my hand.
It read:

-Morning Y/N! Happy birthday! Make sure to get dressed (I know you don't like to stay in your Pj's that long), and come to the TARDIS kitchen. Im waiting for the birthday girl ❤️.

I got up out of bed and changed out of my pjs into a vest and some ripped jeans. I left my bedroom and went to the TARDIS kitchen where Ruby and the doctor were waiting.
"Happy birthday!" They both yelled and I grinned.
"Thanks guys," I smiled.
"Come here you," The doctor gave me a big hug and i hugged back.
He then let me go and Ruby ran over to me, hugging me tight causing me to giggle.
"Happy birthday baby," She gave me a long kiss and I kissed back.
"Thanks honey," I blushed.

"Sit," The doctor pulled out a chair.
I did as I was told and they put a plate in front of me which had a bacon sandwich on and it had a candle in it which was lit.
"Is this my birthday cake?" I laughed.
"No. We do have an actual cake. But i thought it was funny," Ruby sat next to me, "Plus! It means you get two wishes today."
"Ooooo good point," I blew out the candle.
"What did you wish for?" The doctor asked.
"I'm not telling you that! It wont come true!" I pointed out and took out the candle so I could eat my breakfast.

We went to the control room after breakfast and there were some presents waiting for me, sat on the floor, wrapped in gold wrapping paper and a white bow. Six presents.
"Three from both of us," The doctor pushed me forward gently and i grinned excited.
"You guys didn't need to get me three each. I would have been fine with one each," I sat on a chair by the presents.
"I'm your girlfriend! Im obviously gonna get you more than one thing!" Ruby sat on the floor next to the chair and put her arm on my lap.

"Whose do I open first?" I asked.
"Pick at random and we'll tell you who it's from?" The doctor shrugged.
"Okay," i picked up the biggest one which made Ruby grin, "Well i think i can tell who got me this based off of the smile."

I opened all the presents. Ruby got me a record player, some vinyls and some cute notebooks. The doctor got me a new jacket i really wanted, some converse and then one last thing.

"Oh my god! You didn't!" My face lit up so so so much.
"He did," Ruby clapped.
"I did," The doctor grinned, "You've been travelling with me for so long, i thought you needed your own."
He got me my very own Sonic Screwdriver. Its was such a beautiful blue.
"BUT!" The doctor held up his finger, "I will give you proper training."
"Okay!" I had a huge grin on my face, "Thank you guys."

We spent a day just in me and Ruby's timeline, going around London and having a lovely day and at the end of the night we were in the TARDIS, ready for cake.

I sat at the table and The doctor and Ruby brought in the cake. Its was a chocolate cake with lots of different coloured icing.
"Happy birthday to you! Happy birthday to you! Happy birthday dear Y/N! Happy birthday to you!" They both sang
"Thanks guys," I grinned as they put the cake down in front of me.
"Make a wish baby," Ruby hugged me from behind while she was still stood up.

I flew out the candles and we all had cake. I would usually just have one slice when theres a cake, but i just said fuck it because the cake was so good and it was my birthday.

"This was the best birthday ever," I finished my second slice.
"I'm glad you liked it," Ruby kissed my cheek.
