Rhaelys could not find sleep that night. How could she, she was haunted by her mother's dead eyes staring at her.

Rhaelys was numb.

She felt nothing, nothing at all.

She got up and dressed slowly. She headed to where they kept her mother. She walk through the corridors. Everyone she passed looked at her with pity, she hated it.

She arrived at the Silent Sisters. She entered and saw her mother, clean of all the blood, she looked like she was sleeping. The Silent Sisters were about to wrap her when rhaelys stepped toward them," I wish to do it... please," she asked. They Silent Sisters looked at each other and nodded. They handed her the cloth and show her how to wrap.

Rhaelys starts slowly wrapping her mother. Little by little she was covering her mother. Her mother, one of the only ones who was always there for her, gone because of her father's ambition for a son. A son who was already wrapped, a babe who did not live to see the next day.

Rhaelys kissed her mother's cheek before wrapping up her face. A tear ran down Rhaelys's face as she finished off wrapping. She closed her eyes to stop the tears from coming, but it did not work. She walked out not wanting to see anymore.

She ran to her chambers and cried into the bed. A few wails later and she was sleeping, she had cried herself to sleep.

Rhaelys was woken up by Robyn, "Princess, you need to get dressed." Rhaelys felt her eyes burn as she opened them.  The events of what had happened yesterday flooding back into her, and this wave of sadness overtakes her.

"Good morrow Robyn," She whispers her her throat hurting from the screams.

She got ready for her mother's funeral. She got dressed in a black dress and Robyn did her hair. She had not touched on the tray of food that Robyn placed infront of her, she did not have a appetite.

"You should eat princess."

"I'm not hungry."

"Your health is important."

"So was my mother's ."

Suddenly there was a knock at the door. Robyn gave Rhaelys's shoulder a squeeze and went to open the door. At the door stood Daemon.

"Prince Daemon," She said.

"Where is she?"

"Inside. Maybe you could get her to eat."

Daemon walked passed Robyn, entering the chamber. He saw Rhaelys sitting and approached her and sees the full tray of food. "You need to eat, little dragon." Rhaelys looks to him and then back to the tray. "I can't " she whispers "these dishes were her favorite." Daemon took a bowl of soup off the tray and scooped up some of it onto a spoon and brought it to her mouth. "Open" he demanded. She looks at him and then at the spoon. "Don't be stubborn, little dragon."

Rhaelys slowly opened her mouth and he fed her the soup. After she ate all the soup Daemon placed the bowl back onto the tray. "There was that so hard," he said teasingly. He took her hand gently into his own,"I know it must be difficult for you, seen as you were close to her, but your sister needs you."

Rhaelys looks down.

"Rhaelys, your mother needs to be put to rest."

Rhaelys  looks up at him. She nods her head gathering all her strength and getting up. "okay, let's go."

*********

Waves can be heard crashing onto the shore. The Targaryen family stands infront of a pyre, a pyre with their beloved queen and mother, and a smaller pyre with the babe. Vermithor stands on the hill waiting for commands.

Rhaelys stands close to Daemon. She walks forward standing next to Rhaenyra. She stares at the pyres infront of her, tears lining her eyes. Daemon walks to Rhaelys.

"They waiting", he whispers sadly.

"I wonder if, during those few hours my brother lived, my father finally found happiness."

"Your father needs you now more than he ever has before. You sister as well."

"I will never be a son."

Rhaelys swallows deeply and turns to look at her father. She turns back and walks forward looking to Vermithor and back to the pyres. "Dra...", the words stuck in her throat. She breathes in deeply and firmly says,"Dracarys ".

Vermithor blew fire and burns the pyres. Rhaelys watches as it burns. Everybody starts leaving but she stands and watches the flames, until they turn to ash.
