The next day, Harry and Lord Black exchanged letters and came to the decision that they needed to meet again to discuss further and do some necessary work to prepare for their future battles to rescue Sirius Black. And there was no better day than the day after - Sunday.

But that presented Harry with a new problem - he couldn't just disappear all day.

Sure, he could hide in his room all day, but someone would knock on his door for something. Yes, Harry was talking about Anthony Goldstein. And he couldn't ignore it. That would raise a lot of questions, and Harry really didn't want that to happen.

It was also the part Harry didn't like about being 'friends' with other people. Once he had such relationships, it would be difficult for him to do what he wanted freely.

But he had no other choice. It was an important meeting, and if Harry had to bet he still had to. So Harry went to breakfast pretending to be sleep-deprived, told a lie about how he had stayed up all night reading a book, and summed it up that he would sleep through Sunday. It went pretty well.

The others didn't suspect anything, and looked at Harry sympathetically and agreed that he should rest before the week started. Of course, there was still the possibility that someone would come looking for him, but Harry really didn't have a choice. He returned to his room, locked the door with a powerful spell, and used his magic to reach the location he had promised Lord Black.

But he didn't know that while he was leaving Hogwarts, there were other people talking about him. Professors, to be exact. The first Sunday of October was the time of the first midterm meeting. At this meeting, the professors will discuss with each other how the students are doing at the beginning of the year, along with other issues that they need to pay attention to. And talking about the top students of the first year quickly became their favorite topic.

"In Gryffindor, the two brightest students are miss Granger and mr Longbottom." Professor McGonagall said, her expression softening at the thought of her students. But she wasn't exactly just praising them, but also stating what she thought they were lacking. "Mr Longbottom has made great progress, although I think he could have done more if he tried harder, instead of wasting time doing miscellaneous things. Meanwhile, miss Granger does a great job in theory, but I think she's still lacking in practice."

"It's a common problem among muggle-born students. After all, they've only been exposed to our world recently, I believe it will only take a while for them to catch up with the other students."

The Headmaster said, looking very pleased with what he had heard from Professor McGonagall. He himself was a Gryffindor student, so obviously he would be happy to hear they were doing well.

The other Professors, were not so excited about Gryffindor.

"Ernest Macmillan is a promising student." Professor Sprout said. "So does Miss Susan Bones, but she has a bit of a problem learning Potions."

Compared to other houses, this year's Hufflepuff did not have a particularly outstanding student. But they always valued hard work, so Professor Sprout didn't really care.

It was Snape's turn, but the rest of them weren't too interested in what he was going to say. Apparently, he would praise all of his Slytherin students, and then his godson, Draco Malfoy.

And he did exactly that.

"Well, good for you, but mister Harry Potter of my house is clearly the brightest student."

Professor Flitwick looked around, the corners of his mouth conspicuously upturned. He knew he had won this year, for the truth was that no first-year student could compare to Harry Potter.
