Harry Potter was a strange child.

With his well-groomed shoulder-length hair, his delicate face and pale skin as if he was ill and hadn't been out for a long time, Harry Potter looked quite adorable. Except for his eyes. They are deep green, cold, and always give people a chill down the spine when looking at them. Everyone who had ever met Harry, couldn't look him in the eye for too long. Some people found it scary, others felt like something bad was going to happen to them when those strange eyes stayed on them for a little.

Overall, Harry Potter was a lonely kid with no friends, because people thought he was a strange kid.

It was unfortunate, for them, that Harry Potter was well aware of that, and was quite pleased with his strangeness.

If his strangeness could help him live comfortably, then Harry felt it was nothing to be afraid of. What other people thought of him was completely beyond Harry's concern. After all, Harry has only himself, and only his opinions matter.

Some would say he was too cold, others would say he was arrogant. However, being a smart kid, he had every reason to be arrogant, and set himself apart from others. He was on the top of his year, and won many awards, and even got into the local press for his outstanding performance at that age. When such an outstanding child did not have parents around to love, protect and teach, it was only natural for that child to learn to see others as inferior to him.

At the age of eleven, the young Potter child saw life through gray lenses. To him, the others were just other people. And their opinion had no value at all, especially since he had lived miserable life during the first few years of his. No one had ever been by his side to love and protect him, so why should Harry care about them?

If Harry Potter had to talk about the exact date in which he changed, it would be his seventh birthday.

That was the day he learned a new word, 'abuse', through a newspaper, and realized that his aunt and uncle had abused him. Abuse was a bad thing, and when people do bad things, they have to be punished.

So that night, when his uncle got angry and hit him with an iron pan, Harry raised his head, and for a moment the fat man was on fire. Harry was quite surprised, but then he accepted it comfortably. Well, it wasn't a good time to think logically, when Harry Potter was beaten to the point of bleeding on the head. But, the point was, punished. So Harry Potter picked up the bloody pan that was still on the ground, and hit Vernon Dursley hard on the head. Once, twice,... many times, while Petunia Evans and Dudley Dursley screamed in terror.

After that fateful evening, Harry Potter learned to protect himself. And sometimes, scaring people shitless is an effective way of self-protection.

And some people, need to be punished, to be able to live like decent humans. For example, Harry's aunt and uncle, were kinder, well, not exactly, but they treated Harry better after that day. At least they gave Harry the second bedroom, and didn't ask him to do anything else. Harry was grateful for that. He wasn't an unreasonable person, so as long as they didn't do anything to him, he would leave them alone.

Life was good, the Dursleys left Harry alone, and he was able to live comfortably and do whatever he wanted.

But, that was just the Dursleys.

The others weren't much better than them.

Some people were very cruel. Take, for example, miss Johnson, Harry's homeroom teacher, who was prejudiced against him, and ignored him knowing well what Harry's aunt and uncle had done to him. She has always been rude to Harry, even to the point of accusing him of cheating on tests despite having no proof.
