I decide to take the chance and look around the counter
Adam was facing me and Luis had his back turned
I bolted to one of the aisles so if Luis saw me it would look like I was just looking at candy instead of hiding from him
"Well she did kiss me not on the lips but she gave a kiss on the cheek before going back into her house" I hear Luis bragging and I roll my eyes
"Mhm mhm so you think your going to take her on a second date?" I hear Luis laugh and my heart slowly sinks
"I like her man but no way the date just wasn't working and I don't wanna waste my time" my smile fades from my face hearing him say that

*one bad date and now any other is wasting his time!*

"Oh that's to bad hey I'll catch ya later i think if I take any longer my sister is going to flip" Adam let's him get the slushy
Adam then walks past the aisles in a way it looked like he wasn't trying to find me
"Hey y/n" he whispers sneaking up behind me
"Ah! Jesus don't do that cake eater!" I slightly push him
"Oh y/n your here" I hear a familiar voice of Luis
He stood almost nervously and a little wide eyed seeing me
"Yeah uh me and cake eater were getting snacks" i point to Adam and Luis just nods
"Well I really liked our date" he gives a weak smile and I roll my eyes
"Mhm sureeee and I'm not a waste of your time either?" I responded sounding snarky on purpose
"Oh you heard that" he looked at his feet and scratched the back of his neck
"Mhm now you can go don't want to keep you sister waiting do ya?" I give a sarcastic smile
"Y-y-yeah uh bye y/n and Adam" he rushed out the door after paying
"Didn't need to be so harsh y/n!" Adam smiles jokingly punching my shoulder
"Hm I know" I shrug grabbing the rest of the snacks we wanted
We placed everything on the counter and I looked at the screen showing our total
*$25 dollars! Are you kidding me*
"Did you guys change the prices or somethjng jerry?" I ask huffing grabbing my money
"Nope your just buying a lot" he smiles and I roll my eyes
"Let me pay sled" adam gestures
"Nope no way you paid last time" I argue
We ended up doing rock paper scissors and he won so he paid
We put our stuff into bags and headed back to my house
"What movie should we watch tonight?" I look up at Adam
"I don't know just not a sad one" he says sort of sternly
"Why!" I groaned
"Because I don't want to listen to you crying for twenty minutes about how the dumb dog died!" Adam explained loudly
"Fine good point how about Greece?" I suggest as we turn onto our street
"Yes" he gives a cheesy smile
"Hey is that a person on my porch or am I imagining things" I point to my house
"Adam!!!" I hear as the figure stands up
"Oh shit!" I yell as adams dad runs towards us
"Oh man!" Adam says frantic
His dad charged at Adam gripping his arm tightly tugging him
Adam tried fighting but was quickly stopped
as he was struck across his face by his dads hand
"Come on you are grounded!" His dad angrily yells
"For what?!" Adam argued
"That damn bad grade you know better than to fail!" Adam sighed as his dad pulled him into his house
Now I was left standing in the middle of the sidewalk with all of our snacks
I picked Addams bags up and walked into my house locking the front door behind me
I let out a sigh placing adam and my bags into the pantry leaving them untouched
"What's wrong sweetheart?" I heard my mom say startling me
"Adams dad" i huff sitting in the counter
"Oh well didn't you go out with someone tonight how was that?" She tried steering the subject in a new direction
"Horrible I made a fool of myself mom!" I complained
She tried saying I didn't but I cut her off
"don't say I didn't because even Luis said he hated hanging out!"
My mom let out a chuckle and I just ignored her going straight to my room
