"Just tell me where we're going. Please?" I asked, looking over at the handsome blue-eyed brunette I called my boyfriend. I even completed the look with my signature puppy-dog face.

"Your puppy-dog face doesn't work on me, love. You should know that by now. And even if it did, I wouldn't be able to see it, since you know, I'm driving." Louis said, as a smile appeared on his face.

Touche, my good friend, touche. "Please?" I begged. We had been going at this for the last twenty minutes, and still, he wouldn't tell me where we were going.

"It's my anniversary present to you, now be quiet," he said.

Louis and I had been dating the past three years, after we met at a beach. It was mid-June and I was 16 and he was 18. We spent a lot of time together that day, and when we had to leave, we swapped numbers. We were inseparable. We spent every chance we got talking, skyping, and being together.

When he went off to the X Factor, I was his biggest supporter, besides his family of course. I knew he had a great voice, and knew he could go far. When he and his band mates placed third, I was both devestated and excited. Because even though they didn't get first, everyone knew that wasn't the end. When they got signed, I couldn't have been happier. He got to live his dream.

Although, as the months went on, and we saw each other less and less, I couldn't help but worry. Now, don't get me wrong. I trusted Louis with all my heart, and he would never even think of cheating, but a little bit of me kept thinking he would find someone better, and that he would dump me. Luckily, I was wrong. And three years later, we're still going strong.

I huffed, and turned to look forward. "Can you at least tell me how long until we're going to get to wherever we're going?"

"Not long now. I promise," he said, the smile on his face growing by the second, as he took my hand in one of his.

I turned on the radio with my other hand, and sat back in my seat, Louis' hand entwined with mine.

As the song finished, a new one came on. I gasped, and accidentally jumped out of my seat, hitting my head on the roof of the car. "Ouch..."

"Careful, you may dent my car." Louis said between laughs.

"SHHHHHH! THIS IS MY JAM!!!!" I said and started rocking out.

"CAUSE WHEN THE DAYLIGHT COMES I'LL HAVE TO GO! BUT TONIGHT I WANNA HOLD YOU SO CLOSE!" I belted out the lyrics as I had my jam session.

"I love you so much Adam! You are my American baby!" I said to the radio, as if Adam Levine would actually hear me.

Louis cleared his throat, "Hey, remember me? Your boyfriend? You know, Louis 'The Tommo' Tomlinson?"

I looked at him with the best pokerface I could come up with, "Who?"

He shot me a playful glare and stuck out his tongue. "Ha ha ha. Very funny Missy. You won't be saying that when we get to your present."

I looked at him, tilting my head with a very innocent look on my face.

Louis rolled his eyes and chuckled.

The rest of the trip, we sat in a comfortable silence.

When we finally arrived, Louis got out, and opened my door for me. It was about 9:30 at night so I couldn't see much. I instantly regretted wearing my shorty shorts and lime green tank top. It was cold for June.

Louis pulled out a bandana and wrapped it around my eyes, so I couldn't see. "Oh come one, Boo Bear. You know how much I hate surprises," I whined.

He took my hand and led me up and down small hills, through grass patches, and tall weeds(again, regretting my clothing choice). Finally, we stopped and he took the blindfold off. What lay before me made me gasp.

It was beautiful. It was a a candlelit dinner for two. There were twinkling lights set up everywhere on the beach. But it wasn't just any beach. It was the beach where we met. Exactly three years ago today. I looked over at Louis, speechless. I had absolutely no idea what to say.

He just smiled at me and led me to the table.

After the lovely dinner of lobster and mashed potatoes, we just sat and talked.

Suddenly, Louis got all nervous, and stood up.

"Lou, what's wrong? Are you okay? Are there ants?"

He smiles, seeming to have his confidence back. "No. Nothing's wrong. Everything is... perfect." And with that, Louis gets down on one knee.

"Amber, you are the love of my life. For these past three years, I haven't stopped thinking about you once, and my love for you has grown each day. Would you make me the happiest man in the world, and be my wife?" he says and pulls out a Pandora box. He opens it to reveal a beautiful diamond ring.

Not being able to speak, I nod and run over to him, tears streaming down my face.

He picks me up and spins me around. When he sets me down, his shaking hand places the ring on my finger. His beautiful blue eyes not leaving mine for a second.

My lips crashed into his, and we shared the first kiss as fiances.

The perfect end to a perfect night.
