My alarm buzzed at 6:30 am. I was so groggy, and moody. I hopped in the shower and put on a white t-shirt and light blue jeans with sandals. I let my hair down into dirty blonde waves. I added a touch of mascara. For some reason, I didn't feel so vampy. I put on my I love vampires bracelet and my fang earrings. Better. I headed down to grab a banana and headed out to the bus stop. Austyn was there. She had on sport shorts and a pink sweater, and her dark brown hair was tied in two plaits. Her green eyes glimmered in the sun. "I slept late." I said. "What time?" she said looking out for the bus. "Almost 1:00 am." I said. "Crazy child. I hit the hay as soon as I went home." Austyn said. "By the way, you look really good. Like, I've never seen you this way." she said. I hated change so I held up my bracelet and flashed my earrings. "Nope, same old Autty." she said smiling. I smiled back and the school bus pulled up towards us. I got in and Char was already there beaming at us. Char was the funniest person I've ever met. She had this springy curly black hair and wore a green tee with capri's. Austyn and I sat with her. "Y'all I'm tired from practice." Char said. "Really? I feel great." I said. "That's cause we had Chinese last night." Austyn said patting her belly. "Y'all wanna hang today? Get some fro yo?" Char asked. "Heck ya!" Austyn said. Austyn was the tomboy of our group. She has two older brothers, and one younger brother. When we arrived to school, we parted ways. I ran to my locker hoping to be there before Cody. Too late. He was pulling out his French binder, beaming at me. "Hey Autumn." he said. "Hey." I said tucking a few loose strands of hair behind my ear. "You did a great job at practice yesterday." he said winking at me. I blushed. "You look really beautiful by the way." he said, his cheeks turning crimson. My eyes lit up. "Thank you, ready to go to French?" I asked. "No, I want to spend every moment alone with you as much as I can." he said. Whoa, so he really likes me. I looked down at my shoes. God, I want to kiss him, no I want to make out with him right now. How could someone so darn cute like me? He had blonde hair and blueish green eyes. He had a sharp jawline, and he loved wearing leather jackets, making him sexy and suspicious. The warning bell rang. "Let's go, beautiful." he said. We made it just in time. I took my usual seat. I couldn't help but glance at Cody, his ring glimmered even in the dull classroom.

At lunch, Cody sat with Char, Austyn and I. A kid named Vincent was walking by when he tripped over Tyler Donald's backpack and broke his nose. Blood flowed onto the floor. Everyone squirmed in their seats. Cody hid his face and ran out of the cafeteria. "That's strange." I said putting down my sandwhich. "Maybe he just doesn't like blood." Char said. "I'll be back." I said. I ran out and found Cody leaning against one of the lockers. "Cody?" I called. He turned away from me rubbing his eyes. "You okay?" I asked. "Yea, hang on." he said. He finally turned around, looking perfectly normal. "Wanna go back in?" I asked. "Did they clean up the blood?" he asked. "I'm assuming." I said. We headed back to the cafeteria only to see the janitor walking away, already cleaning up the mess. The mop was bloodstained and I watched as Cody's eyes followed the mop. I assumed he was terrified of blood, but I could be wrong.
