The servants were startled to hear a loud noise at the door of the servant's quarters so late at night, a rhythmic banging that came in threes each time it rung out. Even when they were a deadly as they were usually, with everything that had been happening as of late, they approached Sebastian and begged him to open the door for them, just in case it was a monster behind the door or such.
He scolded them for asking him to do such a menial task, but he obliged, and walked with them to the servants quarters, the three servants cowering behind him in fear of what may be on the other side of the door.
"You've ought to grow some courage, you three," Sebastian sighed, placing a hand on the door knob and turning it. "Honestly, what am I going to do with-"
He was cut off when he opened the door, not by the person who was behind the door directly, but by himself for the fact that that person was the one behind the door.
It was Lady (Y/n).
She was dishevelled, not even standing up, as she clutched her side, her face covered in a mixture of blood and dirt as she looked up at him with pleading eyes.
"...S-Sebastian..."
Sebastian's eyes widened, an unusual display of emotion flickering across his normally composed face. The servants behind him gasped, their initial fear giving way to confusion and concern as they recognized the Lady (Y/n). They had not seen her yet still alive, and naturally thought that she was dead considering they saw her in her casket just a few months ago.
"Lady (Y/n)," Sebastian said, his voice low but urgent. "What happened to you?"
She struggled to speak, her breaths shallow and laboured.
"...I escaped...Will...the dispatch...they won't..." she groaned in pain before she could say any more, her face scrunching up as she clutched the side of her lower stomach.
Sebastian furrowed his brows - this was most unusual.
Thinking quickly as usual, Sebastian dragged her inside and closed the door behind her, laying her down with her back against the floor as he carefully pulled up her many layers which covered the place that seemed to be paining her the most.
She winced, and as did the other three servants when they saw the deep, messy wound which was in her side, like something had bitten her with it's rugged teeth and spun like a crocodile and it's death roll. In the state she was, only that of another reaper's blade could cut through her body like this, let alone penetrate the skin even slightly.
His eyes narrowed as he examined the wound, though one thing was for certain - if she wasn't stabilised as soon as possible, the Lord would have something to say about her absence.
"Finny, go prepare a room immediately. Bard, prepare the first aid supplies. Mey-Rin, bring some hot water and clean cloths," Sebastian ordered with that thick authorities tone his voice had to it, the three servants murmuring a 'yes sir' in unison as they all rushed off to their respective duties which were bestowed upon them.
Once he had seen them off, all he could do now was take (Y/n) someplace that wasn't the floor of the servants quarters' kitchen, as he pulled her clothes back over her wound and scooped her up into his arms. Though as he did, (Y/n) seemed to give in to the unconsciousness which beckoned her while pain threatened to destroy her, and as soon as he had a steady grip on her, she went as limp as a blanket.
He wasn't worried, however. As far as he knew, it took much more than a stab wound to destroy a reaper, gnarly and deep as it was.
