A/N: Just a short chapter to get things going again! I've been neglecting this and a few of my other books for my school work but I'm gonna try and pick them all back up again. Thank you to everyone for being patient, and please enjoy!

(Y/n)'s POV

I couldn't sleep easy that night, even with the silky sheets of a bed underneath me as Ronald had so generously leant me his bed while he insisted he slept on the couch, no matter how much I begged for him to allow me instead as I felt like I was imposing. But no, he was such a gentleman, even when our first time meeting I wasn't exactly the most polite I could've been.

But guilt wasn't the biggest reason for my inability to sleep in that moment. It was the fog in my brain and my hate for Queen Victoria. I knew why I hated her - she screwed me over, put me at fault of her own mistakes that could've easily been avoided if only she let me take hold of the reins. But I hadn't noticed the fog in my brain until Mr. Spears showed me those photographs. Obviously those two men in uniform were my co-workers, and usually co-workers don't have very intimate relationships. I figured the most I ever spoke to either of them was on brief occasions and only on business. That assumption didn't feel quite right though, there had to be more to it. But I was stuck. Though what bothered me more was that photograph of the child. She looked vaguely familiar to me, and part of me couldn't help but feel I had some relation toward her. Little sister? Niece? Or perhaps...my own child?

I was quick to shake that thought out of my head. I think I'd remember if I gave birth to a child or not, there was no way I could've been her mother.

So I lay there, staring up at the ceiling, awaiting day to arrive as I grow no more tired while time passes me by without a second thought.

"Good morning, Miss Price," William greeted from his place at his office desk, motioning for the seat in front of him, "please be seated."

I looked up at Ronald, who had so kindly escorted me to Mr Spears' office since that was where I was asked to go as soon as we had arrived, to which he gave me a brief grin and also motioned for the chair. Quietly, I nodded and did as I was told, taking the seat in front of his desk, feeling Ronald place his hand on the back of it and lean on it.

"I have discussed with the higher ups about how we're going to educate you here at the dispatch. I'm not at all concerned about your practical abilities, but more so that you understand the concept of collections and what it is we do here," he began, looking between myself and Ronald as he continued, "you're certainly a special case, Miss Price. And for that, I believe you deserve the privilege of a shorter education term of about six months, compared to an ordinary student who must face at least eighteen months before they are ready to begin working."
"Uh-are you sure I'd be able to contribute just as efficiently to the dispatch with only six months of training?" I asked, quite shocked at his proposition and unsure of it.
"I do," he nodded, "I, as well as my superiors, believe you will be a valuable member to the dispatch, and therefore want you to begin working as soon as it's possible. "
"I-" I began in a stutter, though shook my head and regained my composure, "I'm honoured that you think me worthy of such a decision."
"But of course," he nodded, "you achieved amazing things in life, I wouldn't bestow anything less upon you."
