The past few weeks I've barely slept as I continued to stare at the dark ceiling above mine and Josh's bed. The only thing that showered my mind was my two tiny babies whom I haven't heard a single word about. Tonight was like any other that I stared into the abyss wondering about the children. The salty drips of water and my deep heaving breaths must've woken Josh up because the next thing I knew I was in his arms.
"Hey it's alright gonna be alright. I need you to sleep some. Maybe when you wake up we'll be able to pick them up and bring them home," he answered while coddling me in his tatted arms.
"I hope so," I whisper as my eyes begin to fade into the darkness of the abyss.
Josh's P.O.V
I can't believe that my girl has gone through so much. She hasn't slept since she has returned home with me which scares the living shit outta me. I don't wanna lose her nor the babies but right now she needs to focus on herself and her personal well being. She is struggling so much and I'm over here being helpless to her situation.
I looked over at the clock which said 4:35am. Carefully I lay Julianna back down, kiss her head, and pull the covers over her sleeping frame. Making my way towards the kitchen, I pull my phone out of my pocket to call her brother.
"Damn Josh it's like 3:00 in the morning. Are you and Julie alright," Colby asked panicking.
"I'm alright and so is she for the time being. I just got her to sleep," I respond quietly so I didn't wake her up.
"Is she doing that thing where she hates the idea of sleep so she lays there for hours just staring at the ceiling," I heard Jon's voice in the background say.
"Yeah she is and I've tried everything to help her. Hold on I'm getting another call," I say while scrambling to pick her phone up off the table.
"Hello is this Ms. Julianna Good. We need to talk to you about your children." The nurse said.
Instantly my heart dropped to the pit of my stomach but knowing someone needed to respond I say,"No, but this is her fiancé."
"Okay well I am just calling to let you know that your babies will be able to come home tomorrow," the nurse replied before I began to jump up and down with joy. I couldn't wait to tell her in the morning.
