The unusual brisk cold morning appeared in Pensacola as I was with the twins trying to get them ready for the day. For some reason Edward was more fussy than usual so he had made it quite difficult for Josh and I to get them ready and into the car.
After what seemed like an hour of trying, we finally got him into his carseat so we could head to his parents house to drop them off for tonight's show.
"Babe are we still gonna get married," I asked which cause the both of us to fall into deep silence.
" Of course Mamas but I'm waiting for when your ready to get married. I wanna do this on our time not everybody else's, " Josh replied putting his hand on top of mine so he could reassure me.
I smiled back at him still unsure on how to tell him about the whole "father walks daughter down the aisle". Even the thought of inviting my father to the wedding shredded chills down my spine. His dark demeanor instantly threaded through my body forcing unnecessary tears to stream down my face. Without even showing tears to Josh I set my head against the window until we arrived to his parents.
" Ma we're here, " Josh said as I wiped my eyes before helping him get the twins out of the car.
With Josh picking up Elena I grabbed Edward and took them to the front door awaiting for them to answer. "Hey guys bring them right on in, " his mom said as she led us into the living room.
"Here's everything they shall need for the next few hours. If you have any problems just call and we'll be right here," Josh speaks with his mother letting out a small chuckle alongside his father.
" Everything alright Julie, " his father asked.
"Uh Josh could you give me a moment alone with your father. Please," I say which he gladly obliges.
With a deep breath, I look up into Solofa's eyes trying to say something but my own emotions began to take over.
"Hey you're going to be alright. Whatever is eating you up inside Julie you can talk to me about it. I'm hear to listen not to judge you," he calmly reassured as I began to wipe them from my eyes so I could finally ask him.
" Sorry about all that. It's just been so much trying to plan the wedding, take care of the twins, getting ready for my in ring return and all the other stuff. Anyways I wanted to ask you if you wouldn't mind walking me down the aisle at mine and Josh's wedding? "
For a moment the air in the room became still making me second guess asking him in the first place. Maybe it was a bad idea. As soon as I began to walk away he said, "I would love to walk you down the aisle."
My face lit up like a Christmas tree in a dark room. I felt the pressure come off of my shoulders as I Jonesboro give him a hug.
"Thank you. You don't know how much this means to me, " I say before going to tell Josh I was ready to go.
Back inside the car, Josh looked at me with a smile since he had also seen the amount of relief that poured off of me.
"You seem so happy. What did you and my dad talk about," he questioned wondering what I could've asked him.
" I asked him to walk me down aisle at our wedding, " I answered with him looking so happy.
"We're still doing this?"
" Of course we are. I'm in love with you Joshua Samuel Fatu. I wouldn't pass this moment up for anything. "
"And I love you Julianna Jamie Good," he replied pulling me in for a deep passionate kiss that had felt like no other that we've shared.
