                           Justin POV

Bedtime for dorm highschoolers was at ten o'clock. Which I thought was completely stupid.  Tommy and I were sixteen not six. We were too old for a bedtime. They were treating us like we were babies.

But I kept my opinion to myself as I crawled onto the top bunk and got under my covers. I had gotten into enough trouble with Jason this weekend and did not want to get into anymore.

"Good night guys." Billy said as he hit the lights. "Remember no talking."

Oh come on at least allow us to talk I thought. "Okay."

Billy and Jason then walked out.

I laid on my stomach looking into the darkness.  "This is so stupid." I bitterly complained.

"Shhh." Tommy said softly from the other side of the room.

Shhh yourself I thought.

I have not had a bedtime since I was twelve I thought. And even I barely I abide by it. Frustration rose inside of me. It was bad enough that I had to leave my school and my friends but I also have to go to bed like an infant.

So not fair I thought as I slammed fist into the mattress causing the bed to rattle.

"You okay?" Tommy asked.

"Shhh..." I replied and then settled back down. A part of me wanted to jump from the bed, rush from the room, and tell Jason I didn't want to do this.  I'm not going to be told to go bed like I'm a child.

But I didn't. Instead I just laid in bed stewing in my own misery, wishing I was anywhere else but there. My consolation was that Billy and Jason would be back for lights out at eleven.

Which again I found stupid but enjoyed the thought of Jason being made to go to bed like a kid. I wonder as he lays in the dark unable to talk, read or leave the room if will regret bringing us to this place.

That made me smile.

I hope he finds it even more annoying than I do.   Serves him right.

But he probably won't I sighed. Jason likes rules. He likes following them and certainly likes enforcing them. He is going to fit in here extremely well. They will probably make him a hall leader next year.

Hopefully I will be home next year I sniffed. I want to go home so badly.

My mind then went to my friends Eddie and Ronnie. I wondered what they were doing right now. Not being made to go to bed like they were ten that's for sure.

They were just leaving the mall and going to our friend Burke's house to hang out. Or home watching television.

Whatever they were doing I'm sure they were enjoying life more than I am right now.

Damn I miss them I thought. Yes they were immarure brats who constantly got me into trouble and were partially responsible for my exile but they were my best friends and I missed them.

And I hate that I will not be able to see or talk to them for the next four months.

But I guess I have no one but myself to blame I thought as I slowly began to drift off to sleep. I should not have let them talk to me into that stupid prank.

I winced as the memory of the prank went through my mind.

I watched as the blue balloon dropped. The balloon filled with water. Once again laughter escaped from our lips as we heard hit some poor unexpecting victim.

Which was followed by a heavy thud and the sound of someone crying out in pain.

I could once again feel the fear that filled me as the person continued to scream for help. I quickly rushed down the stairtower. Ronnie and Eddie tried to stop me but I fought them off. They then ran off as I rushed the down the steps to find a crowd of students gathered around our victim who crying out in pain.

I'm sorry I mumbled. I am so sorry.

The screams followed me as I fell into sleep's embrace.
