The hospital room was quiet as the early morning light filtered through the blinds. Cassy stirred, her head heavy and mind foggy. As her eyes fluttered open, she found herself in an unfamiliar setting. The sterile smell and the beeping of medical equipment confused her. She tried to sit up, but a wave of dizziness washed over her.
Where am I? Why am I in a hospital? Cassy thought, her heart pounding with anxiety.
She looked around the room, trying to piece together how she had ended up here. The last thing she remembered was being at the club with Alexandra, Lily, and Kika. Beyond that, everything was a blur.
The door creaked open, and a doctor stepped in, clipboard in hand. He smiled warmly at her. "Good morning, Cassy. How are you feeling?"
Cassy frowned, struggling to find her voice. "Confused. What happened? Why am I here?"
The doctor pulled up a chair and sat beside her bed. "You were brought in last night after someone spiked your drink at the club. Your friends acted quickly and got you here in time. You had a close call, but you're stable now."
A spike of fear shot through Cassy. "Spiked? I don't remember any of it."
The doctor nodded sympathetically. "That's not unusual. You were heavily sedated, and it's common to have memory gaps after an incident like this. Your friends were with you throughout the night. They're very concerned about you and will be visiting you later today."
Cassy felt a mix of relief and embarrassment. She couldn't believe something like this had happened to her. "Thank you," she murmured, still trying to wrap her head around the events.
The doctor patted her hand reassuringly. "Get some rest. You're safe here, and your friends will be here soon. If you need anything, don't hesitate to call for the nurse."
As the doctor left, Cassy's eyes roamed the room, searching for her phone. She spotted it on the bedside table and reached for it, her hands trembling slightly. Unlocking it, she was met with a barrage of messages and missed calls.
There were numerous texts from Alexandra, Lily, Kika, Charles, and even some unfamiliar numbers, all filled with concern and well-wishes. Her heart skipped a beat when she saw the messages from Lando. She opened them, reading his frantic words from the night before:
Lando: Cassy, I'm here at the hospital. You're going to be okay. I'm so sorry this happened to you.
Lando: I won't leave your side. You're safe now.
Lando:I hope you can forgive me for not being there earlier.Tears welled up in Cassy's eyes as she read his messages. The concern and care in his words touched her deeply. She could hardly believe Lando had been there for her.

Meanwhile, Lando was out for his morning jog, trying to clear his head. The events of the previous night replayed in his mind, and he felt a knot of anxiety in his chest. He had never felt so helpless, watching Cassy in such a vulnerable state.
He needed to see her, to explain everything. He wanted her to know how much he cared and how sorry he was for not being there to protect her. As he jogged along the quiet streets of Monaco, he thought about what he would say.
I have to make her understand, he thought. She has to know I care about her more than anything.
After his jog, he headed back to his apartment to freshen up before meeting the others. He sent a quick text to Charles, confirming the plan to visit Cassy at the hospital later that morning.

Cassy lay in her hospital bed, her mind a whirlwind of confusion and worry. She kept re-reading the messages on her phone, trying to make sense of everything. The door opened, and a nurse came in to check on her, offering her a reassuring smile.
