-At the Party-
Nacho was always the host of the party. He made sure everyone had a good time and that nothing got out of hand. Dexter was the designated DJ, and never left his booth for a split second. Pablo was in charge of food. Making sure everyone got fed and that there would always be something to munch on, no matter where you were in the house. Pablo was already done with his job. "Nacho! The sound system is set and ready to run." Dexter reported. "Food is set." Pablo added. "Perfect! Tuffy? Spotter? Are we ready to open the doors?" Nacho asked. The boys nodded. "Great! Let them in doormen! Let the party begin!" Nacho announced. As soon as they propped open the door, Dexter shut out the lights, turned on their multicolored lasers, and started the playlist.
Cookie greeted his brother at the door. "First again huh?" Tuffy asked. "You know it! Dad is coming in through the back. He didn't want to be seen." Cookie said. Tuffy nodded and went to unlock the back door. Sugar came in with Cookie and they went to do their own thing. Sherbet had driven them there and immediately went to get a drink. The rest of the skips started pouring in one after another. They all knew the drill by now.
"Any sight of your sister?" Jewel asked. "Nope! So far, so good." Anabelle smiled. "Perfect! Then lets go dance." Jewel dragged her to the dance floor. "But what about your siblings?" Anabelle asked. "Lindi is coming with Buckwheat and Ramsey is waiting for Fluffy. They're not my responsibility tonight." Jewel explained. "It must be nice to have the night off." Anabelle giggled. "Yeah. Good timing too because I have something important to tell you." Jewel said. "Oh? What's that?" Anabelle asked. "Bell, I like you. I have for a while and I don't want it to be weird but I just wanted you to know the truth." Jewel admitted. Anabelle was stunned. "Wow! Just straight to the point! Ok well... I think I might like you too. I'm not really sure because we've been best friends forever, so it's hard to tell the feelings apart. But you're always there for me, and... I'd like to be there for you too." Anabelle replied. Jewel smiled and pulled Anabelle into her by the waist. "You help me more than you could ever imagine. Now lets have some fun!" She exclaimed. Anabelle laughed and they danced together.
The Smots were cautious, but after crossing the boarder they soon realized that no one in Skip gave a damn that they were there. So they made their way to the party, where they were stunned to be invited in with open arms. "Glaze! You made it! So glad to see you all." Nacho greeted them. "Thanks for the invite. This looks amazing!" Glaze said. "Thank you! Go on in and help yourself. Make yourselves at home." Nacho smiled. The four Smot boys and four Smot girls all went in together. "Oh hey! They're playing cards over there. I'm gonna join." Skylar noted. "Ok but hey! No pouncing!" Glaze snapped. Skylar rolled his eyes and walked away. Frost and Dreamer ran off to dance. Sydney dragged Slush to the dance floor, but she didn't look very happy about it. "Have you seen her yet?" Glamour asked Glaze. "Nope. No sight of her guards either." Glaze said. "Alright. Let's keep an eye out." Glam said. "Yeah right... in the mean time, would you like to dance?" He asked her. Glamour stared at him for a moment and then smiled softly. "Sure." She agreed.
It was a strange twist of fate. Alpine, Glitzy, and Frights all showed up at the same time. When they recognized each other at the door, Firecracker jumped out in front of her princess. "Trespassers!" She shouted. "Woah! We don't want any trouble! We were invited!" Alpine said. "Step down Fire." Frights said. Firecracker hesitantly stepped aside and Frights stepped forward. "You do know that this is illegal. That you are trespassing in my kingdom." She said. "We know." Alpine said. "Listen, I will you give you both my welcome because I trust you won't treat my people as your father does. But just know that I can't save you if you get caught by the law." Frights warned. "Thank you princess Frights." Glitzy said. Frights nodded to them. They walked into the party side by side. Almost every head turned and a few people gasped. "Your majesties! So glad you could make it." Nacho greeted them. "Thank you for inviting us." Alpine said. Frights went off with her guards and Glitzy went off on her own. "So, what now? I don't go to events like this." Alpine shrugged. "Come with me. I'll show you around." Nacho offered.
"Those are my brothers, Pablo and Dexter. We put all this together with the help of our friends Spotter and Tuffy." Nacho explained. "That's amazing. You have a serious talent. You three should consider doing this professionally." Alpine said. "Thank you, and we actually are!" Nacho admitted. They walked upstairs together. "Here. I wanna show you something." Nacho led Alpine to his bedroom. "Is this your room?" Alpine asked. "Yes sir. And look." Nacho pointed to his mirror. He pressed a button on his wall and the mirrors became see-through. "I usually come up here during the parties. Then I can watch it all go down without being engulfed in the drama, and the best part is, no one else can see me!" Nacho said. "That's cool. I bet it's nice to have that feeling of bringing people together." Alpine said. "It is, but you must already know that. You're a prince!" Nacho laughed. Alpine didn't laugh. He just stared out upon the crowd. "Not really. There's no unity in my kingdom, and as long as my father sits on the throne, and my sister is next in line, there never will be." He sighed. Nacho frowned at him. "You need a drink. Come on." He said.
Tuffy made his way over to Sherbet at the bar. "Hey! What are you drinking?" he asked. "Doesn't matter. With you here, I'll need something stronger." she replied. He frowned. "Where's Sugar?" he asked. "With Cookie. I think they're an actual thing now." she said. "That must be nice." Tuffy sighed. Sherbet groaned and looked over at him. "I'm not interested bro. I'm never gonna be interested, so can you please look elsewhere?" she asked. Tuffy pouted. "Where? Girls don't like me." He said. "Guys do. That short blonde idiot you hang with is awe of you." Sherbet said. "Pablo? We've been friends forever! No way!" Tuffy protested. "Friends is how it starts. Look, he's a nice guy who cares about you. You gotta at least give him a shot." Sherbet said. Tuffy thought for a moment. "I guess I could try." He shrugged. "There he is now, being a fat ass and eating all the food. Go talk to him." She suggested. "Thanks Sherbet." Tuffy walked away. He went over to Pablo at the table. "Do you like me?" He asked. Pablo choked at the question and Tuffy smacked his back to help. "Who told you?!" he shrieked. "It's true!?" Tuffy was stunned. "I'm so sorry! I didn't want it to be weird between us." Pablo shrunk. "What? No, it's ok." Tuffy smiled. "It is?" Pablo asked. "Yeah! I wanna give it a chance." Tuffy held out his hand. Pablo smiled happily and took his hand. "Then let's dance!" He said.
