(The Spartans manage to get back to the chariot. Kratos uses the shield to unlock the door, leading him and Dratos to the platform of the chariot)

Narrator: And again the melody returned, and it almost seemed familiar.

(Both Spartans look around trying to find where that sound is coming from. Dratos seems a little bit relaxed from the sound as he tries to remember where he has heard that melody)

(Flaming enemies with shields start to appear, making Dratos stiffen up a smidge as he summons his 'Sickles of Dispair' and starts attacking, but they keep bouncing off their shields. Dratos summons his 'Blade of Sparta' as he uses it to cut the shields in half, also slicing his opponents)

(Kratos dodges a fireball while trying to knock the shields out of his enemies' hands. The 'Ghost of Sparta' continues his assault and finally manages to deal with the shielded enemies, he now has his sights on the one that can shoot fireballs)

(One of them shoots a fireball at Dratos, but he shoots an ice ball out of his hands. The two opposite elemental balls hit each other as the fireball freezes into solid ice. Kratos is left stunned, surprised to see his son has powers)

(Dratos picks up the frozen fireball and throws it at the last flaming enemy, the frozen fireball explodes, sending the enemy flying off the chariot to their death. Dratos turns to his dad, who is shocked at his son's new abilities)

Dratos: What?

Kratos: Since, when were you able to shoot ice?

Dratos: Whenever you see or have to deal with something you don't include me in, I test my gauntlets powers and try to discover what secrets it has. They can summon more than just ice.

Kratos: (Grunts in acknowledgement)

(Dratos helps his father move statues to the center of the platform as they start moving gears and mechanisms that shoots the light into the 'Sun Shield' making it fire at the horse statue, making it lift up, revealing the same key pattern for the shield)

(Kratos inserts the shield into the base of the statue, making it glow bright orange-yellow color. Another beam of light shoots into the sky, attaching itself to the middle pillar with a horse in front)

(The Spartans go back to the round platform as Kratos uses the shield, transforming it into an elevator as it brings them to the lower levels of the chariot. Dratos and Kratos make their way to the horse statue. Kratos uses the shield, making the statue glow, like the other one from outside)

(A third beam shoots into the sky and attaches to the last pillar as a door opens, leading the Spartans outside as they make their way down)

Narrator: As Kratos and Dratos left the temple, they were assaulted by the army of Morpheus and again, they both heard the haunting melody, but this time they recognized it as the song of Calliope. Dratos' sister and Kratos' daughter.

Dratos and Kratos: Calliope? My daughter/sister where are you? Calliope!

(They try calling out to her, trying to get Calliope to come to them. two of Morpheus' soldier appear as they both roar at the Spartan. Dratos rams into one in front of him, knocking it on to the ground and starts brutally beating it to death. Kratos grapples onto his foe and slams it onto the ground multiple times, then throws the undead soldier off the side)

(The Spartans finish off their opponents and begin making their way towards the three horse statues. Dratos helps Kratos turn the pillar as the three beams' light brightens. Kratos goes to the circular platform and uses the shield)

(The fire horses are freed as both Spartans look at each other and nod. They both grapple onto the pillars and guide the cariot back to the sky)

Narrator: With the release of the Fire Steeds. Kratos and Dratos were both now in the hands of the beasts, and where they would take the Spartans, they did not know.

(Helios' Fire Steeds fly high as Dratos looks and sees a vortex of lightning clouds. The Steeds turn around, flying back beneath the clouds, leading the Spartans to where Helios is, so they can return the sun god back to his rightful place in the sky)

(The Spartans begin to struggle to hang on as memories return to their minds, before they both pledge to Ares and before their capture by the Furies)

(The memories show Dratos and Kratos on horse, a  seven year old Dratos without his red 'tattoo' and a twenty year old Kratos' tanned body, who is wearing Spartan armor. Dratos smiles seeing his sister as he gets off his horse and runs to her. Dratos brings his sister into a hug)

(Kratos gets off his horse and walks to the two hugging siblings. Dratos releases the hug as Kratos picks up Calliope and hugs her. Dratos sees his mother and walks to her as she kneels down, bringing the young Spartan warrior into a tight hug)

(Kratos sets his daughter down, walks to Lysandra and wraps a necklace. Dratos walks over to his mother and sister, he hands his mother a basket of fruits, then hands his sister a wooden toy horse. They all hug with smiles on their faces, showing how happy of a family they are)

(Dratos can be seen playing with his sister as they both try to grab each other's tail. Calliope and Lysandra are sitting on a blanket with a basket of food as they watch Kratos and Dratos train, watching the two Spartan boys of the family trade punches)

(Kratos is leaning against a tree, carving a flute for his daughter, Dratos is seen sleeping near his father, fast asleep with his tail, wrapped around Kratos' leg. Kratos gives Calliope the flute as she begins playing it, the beautiful melody playing as the birds sing along to the tune)

(The scene changes to Kratos and Dratos' carnage as they slice heads left to right. Dratos is holding his sister's lifeless corpse, crying at the death of Calliope. Kratos is holding his wife's hand, a look of shame and guilt in his eyes)

(The chariot arrives in the underworld, soaring through death's domain. Both Spartans awaken from their memory lane, trying to hold onto the chariot)

Narrator: As the steeds pulled Kratos and Dratos away from the grip of Morpheus, they crossed into the underworld. But in the land of the dead, they could go no further. For these beings of light, were not welcome in hades.

(The Spartans are thrown off the chariot as they both plummet down, but they grapple onto a rocky walk, saving themselves from the fall. They climb up onto flat ground, looking around to see where they have landed at)

Narrator: Kratos and Dratos found themselves on the very edge of hades. The land where no mortal had set foot. Here where the souls of the dead walk their fated path, Kratos and Dratos knew that for them, this was merely the beginning.
