Son of the Ghost

God of War (2005) (Chapter 1)

-5 years later after the events of Chains of Olympus-

Dratos and Kratos: The Gods of Olympus have abandoned us, now there is no hope

(The Spartans throw themselves off the cliff as they fall to their "deaths")

Narrator: And both Spartans cast themselves from the highest mountain in all of Greece, after 10 years of suffering, 10 years of endless nightmares it would finally to an end, death would be their escape from madness. But it had not always been this way

-3 weeks earlier, The Aegean Sea-

Narrator: Kratos and Dratos had once been champions to the gods

(Kratos is seen at the end of a ship with his now 18-year-old son, Dratos who is now the same size as his father by his side)

Kratos: Foul beast, I will send you back to the depths of Hades!

Dratos: Rip and tear, until it is done!

(Kratos draws his Blades of Chaos as he gets into his fighting stance with his son following his lead as he summons his Blades of Vengeance from his gauntlets. Both Spartans are ready to face a group of undead soldiers, who are carrying rusted swords as they screech at the Spartans)

(Kratos starts attacking as he swings his blades by their chains at the undead soldiers. Dratos follows his father's lead and attacks with his blades as he pierces through one's chest with blood pouring out of the massive wound as he rips his blade out)

(Dratos and Kratos easily overpower them as they kill the undead soldiers swiftly and brutally. More burst out of a floor board door as they screech in a malice way and attack the Spartans, but are quickly taken out by both Kratos and Dratos)

(Dratos lifts the hatch open as both him and Kratos jump inside, once they are inside they start walking until a Hydra bursts through the side of the ship. Dratos grabs it by the jaws before it can eat him as Kratos stabs his blades into its head, making the hydra go away)

(Both Spartans make it out of the ship and on to the deck, where they hear screaming. Dratos sees a crew member in a cowering position as the man begs them but is hit by an arrow to the head)

(Dratos summons his Griffin Archer as he starts shooting flamed arrows as they hit their mark, killing the undead archers. Dratos and Kratos continue on their path as they walk around the ship until they hear the sound of a woman screaming, who is locked in the Captain's Quarters. The Spartans climb onto a higher part of the ship as they go into a part of the ship where they see a face apparition of Poseidon, the God of the Sea and King of Atlantis)

Dratos and Kratos: Lord Poseidon

Poseidon: Kratos and Dratos, before you both reach Athens, there is a task you both must complete. This beast, this Hydra it has terrorized my seas for far too long, your skills are admirable, but you both will need assistance, you will need the power of the Gods

(Dratos and Kratos feels power being absorbed into them. Dratos hair and tail spikes up as his tail thrashes in shudder)

Poseidon: Take this weapon Spartans, take this power and use to defeat your enemies. Go with the gods, Spartans go forth in the name of Olympus

(Poseidon disappears as Kratos looks at his son)

Kratos: Are you ready to defeat this beast, my son?

(Dratos looks at his father and nods as he summons his Blades of Vengeance)

Dratos: Let's kill this thing
