God of War: Chains of Olympus (Chapter 2)

Narrator: Setting their sights on the glowing horizon, Kratos and Dratos made their way toward the mysterious light, but there was more afoot than the Spartans could possibly know.

(The Spartans are seen running toward the light, where the sun fell, wondering what is going on and plan to find their answers)

Narrator: In the darkness, Morpheus, the God of Dreams awakened to a world where he and only he wielded power. The land was slowly overrun by a black fog that engulfed everything it touched.

(The Spartans make their way down to a destroyed town with rumble and debris scattered across the ground)

Narrator: The power of Morpheus affected even Kratos and Dratos, as they both were haunted by a strange melody. 

The Temple of Helios

(Dratos and his father make their way onto the bridge that connects to the sun god's temple)

Narrator: And as Kratos and his son approached the temple, it became clear that the task ahead was more than they could have ever imagined. 

(The Spartans cross the bridge and stop in front of a stone goddess's face that is carved into the temple)

Narrator: Once again, the strange melody could be heard through the black fog of Morpheus, haunting both Kratos and Dratos.

(Enemies start to appear as the Spartans ready their weapons, Kratos grabbing his blades off his back while Dratos summons his 'Mountain Destroyer' Mace and his 'Thunder Basher' hammer. Both Spartans begin to fight Morpheus' minions. Dratos caves two of their skulls and sends another one flying. Kratos grapples onto one pulls it towards him and Spartan kicks the undead warrior)

(Dratos jumps into the air and throws his hammer into the ground as lightning explodes out of the hammer, turning seven enemies into ash and calls the hammer back to his hand. Kratos swings his blades, decapitating ten as their heads fall onto ground with the stump of the heads singed)

(Dratos summons his 'resolve' katana, with precision and a swift motion, slices one down the middle as it splits apart onto the ground. The young Spartan charges forward as he attacks one that is trying to sneak on Kratos as the older warrior finishes off the last three enemies)

(The Spartans begins climbing up to the temple, making it to the top)

Narrator: The temple on which both Kratos and Dratos stood, was the sun chariot of Helios. The very chariot that the fire steeds pulled across the sky everyday, allowing the brilliance of Helios to shine down on all mankind. 

(Kratos and Dratos walk towards the temple, looking around, wondering why the sun god's temple is on the ground and not in the sky, where it should be at right now)

???: Spartans.

(Both Spartans turn towards the voice and see the glowing statue of Athena, who is facing forward, but is still communicating to them)

Kratos: Athena. What madness has befallen us?

Athena: Spartans, there is not much time. Olympus needs you two.
