SWASTIKA'S POV

"REMOVE YOUR SAREE,"

After those words reached my ears, I felt like my whole world shattered into countless fragments.

It was as if I suddenly became deaf to everything around me. I had always feared that he would never have any feelings for me and would eventually abandon me, leaving me to fend for myself.

The fear was so overwhelming that my body instinctively moved backwards, pressing against the pillows for support.

My lips trembled with terror as I contemplated what he might do to me. It was already too much to bear, having gone through so many hardships in just a single day.

"Huhh?" I hummed unknowingly, trying to gain consciousness. My eyes got widening, and I just tried to control myself to not cry out in front of him.

"Hey!" I trembled. A current ran into my body with his voice. I lifted my tear-filled eyes, our eyes locked.

His expression changed from anger to concern. I knit my eyebrows; I can't understand his intention.

"Do you feel something in your body?" He questioned me with his deep, calm tone; he didn't shout this time, making me even more scared.

"I asked something." He stated this time a little louder than before. I try to process the situation, but I can't utter a single word.

"Please leave me," I literally begged him to leave. I joined my hands and pulled my legs closer to my chest.

Suddenly I noticed his expression; he knit his eyebrows, looking like him, and maybe he was confused.

"Listen, I'm not going to do anything with you."

He said quietly, and I suddenly stood still like a statue, wondering if he's being sincere or just playing games with me. What could possibly make me trust him? Did he honestly believe I would just take his word for it? My mind is filled with countless questions.

"What if you do..." I started asking him, but I quickly shut my mouth to utter something else: what if he gets angry and does something he doesn't want?

"I will not do anything." He immediately spoke as he was waiting for this question to be asked. I closed my eyes, and a drop of tears that was struggling to fall finally fell from my eyes.

"Please save me," I didn't find another word right now. I feel like he is my last hope; he is the one who can save me now. His expression softened for a while, but just for a few seconds.

His face was again covered with those flat expressions. He inhaled deeply, and without murmuring anything, he slowly nodded his head.

I took a deep breath in relief, but suddenly something hit me. A few minutes ago, he just ordered me to remove my saree. I stared at him with a not-so-pleasant expression.

"Remove your saree; tell me, did you feel pain anywhere in your body?" He again asked that question. My lips parted to point out his intention, but it's true that I feel pain in my back, but I ignored it.

I shook my head negatively; he signed and blinked his eyes twice. From when he entered the room until now, he is standing there in the same place.

He slowly took a step forward. I flinched and tightly clenched my pallu over my chest and pressed my back more into the pile of pillows.

"Relax; I'm not doing anything." He softly muttered, leaned over beside me, and picked up a water bottle. I was curiously looking at his every moment.

He then picked up a glass and poured the water into it. I gulped my saliva, and as I'm feeling my throat completely dry up, I feel thirsty.

He turned his face towards me and slowly forwarded the glass in my direction, which was completely shocking for me.

My eyes got wider, and I wasn't able to lift my hand to take the glass from his hand. He pointed out the glass, but still, nothing works for me right now.

"Take it; you really need it." He cooed, and I was just staring at him like this was my imagination, and if the moment came just after I came to my senses, he would force me.

"Please miss," My eyeballs almost pooped out. Did he just please me? He is the first person to treat me like a human being till now, from the moment when they brought me here.

I gulped nervously and slowly forwarded my shivering hand to take the glass. I fixed my gaze over the glass while my other hand tightly clenched the fabric over my chest.

My chest rising up and down due to heavy breathing, I grabbed the glass when unintentionally our hands touched each other.

I felt current run into my veins and goosebumps all over my body. I hurriedly took the glass from his hand, and he pulled back his hand as well.

I gulped the whole water in one go, causing me to choke. I started coughing, and just after that, I felt a soft touch on my back.

I felt his strong presence behind my back; my whole body got numb just by his touch. I shivered and lifted my repeatedly raised lashes to see him.

"Are you okay?" He asked with concern in his voice.

"Yeah," I managed to reply. He slowly took the glass from my hand and placed it on the table. He sat on the edge of the bed with a good distance between me.

"Aapka naam kya?"

("What's your name?") He asked in a calm tone, and I parted my lips and gathered all the courage to reply.

"Sona," I cooed with a lot of effort. I don't know what makes me nervous, but it's true, I can't even breathe properly. What if you called the monster and sent me back to him?

He hummed in response while nodding his head like he was lost in his thoughts. I rolled my toes.

Why would he help me? If I can't give anything to him, then why would he help me? I feel helpless right now; my brain is not working.

"Who brought you here?" He asked again with a flat tone, and I blankly looked at him like he was a ghost who would eat me.

"I don't know," I replied without thinking twice. He furrowed his eyebrows. He is huge compared to me, like he is so tall and muscular.

"At least try to remember something so that I can help you." I stared at him without blinking my eyes, wondering if he really wanted to help me.

"Three men brought me here," He didn't say anything and was just staring into my eyes. His brown orbs can make anyone weak.

His aura is something else; I never felt before that he had the power to save anyone.

"Okay, I'll send someone; tell them where you want to go, and they'll bring you there." He stated with nothing but a flat expression. I was startled. He stood up from the bed, and I didn't know what came to mind. I tightly grabbed his hand.

He snapped his head immediately to look at me, and then we joined hands. When realisation hit me, I quickly left his hand.

"I can't trust anyone," I muttered in a low and pleading tone. He fixed his gaze over my face.

"So did you trust me?" His words leave me in deep thought: did I really trust him, like a stranger?

Now I can't even trust my own parents.

He is just a stranger, but he makes me trust him, or I can say I don't have an option, right? I didn't have the courage to trust anyone else.

"Yes, I trust you. Please do whatever you want, but please save me." I begged and immediately stood up from my bed and stood straight in front of him. I needed to look up as his tall height towered over me.

"What do you want from me?" He questioned me while directly looking into my eyes: To be honest, what will he do to save me? Obviously, if I can't go back to Sonargarh, then where will I go?

When suddenly we heard a knock on the door, I shivered. An unknown fear took place inside me.

"Don't worry," I heard his calm voice. Unknowingly, all the fear that's taken place inside is gone.

He stepped forward with huge steps and went towards the door. He held the handle and rotated it.

He opened the door, and my eyes got widened with shock, fear, and anxiety just by looking at the people at the door.

The monster and the other man who brought me here wouldn't leave anything to make my life worse than ever.

"Hello sir, I am Raghu." That monster greets him with such a creepy smile on his face that I keep looking at them with terror in my eyes.

He didn't reply surprisingly; they couldn't  see me as I was behind him, completely hiding behind his huge frame.

His back is facing me; therefore, I can't see his expression right now. Someone cleared his throat.

"I hope you like the surprise, sir, and she did her best." My heart ached just to hear that about me. I tightly shut my eyes and bit my lips to suppress any sound.

He hummed in response, and I lowered my head and inhaled deeply.

"Now, we have to leave. Where is she?" My heart skipped a beat, and my whole body started shivering terribly just at the thought of going with them. He said he would break my legs.

Unknowingly, I started moving back when suddenly my feet tangled in my saree and I lost my balance.

"Aaanhhhhhh!" I let out a loud scream as my hips started to ache terribly. Reacting swiftly, I instinctively placed my hand on the affected area and gently massaged it.

Closing my eyes, I completely lost myself in the moment, forgetting about everything else around me.

Suddenly, I heard a voice asking.

"Are you alright?"

I opened my eyes slightly and noticed a look of genuine concern in his eyes. Biting my lip, I nodded in affirmation, knowing that I couldn't admit to being hurt.

"Come,"

I felt a shiver run down my spine as he reached out his hand towards me. His palm hovered just above his neck, and I couldn't help but stare at it.

With caution, I placed my hand on top of his, allowing him to assist me in standing up.

"Okay, now it's time to go back." As I regained my balance, I heard the voice of that terrifying creature, reminding me that it was time to return. I slowly opened my eyes and locked gazes with his piercing.

"She is not going anywhere."

Everything fell silent—no movements, no voice, nothing. I'm shivering so bad that I started sobbing silently when I felt someone's heavy hand on my shoulder.

"Aaanhhh, help me!" I shouted and immediately jerked off his hand and took a few steps back, hurriedly making a good distance from him.

"I know you are scared right now, but trust me, this is needed for them." He whispered, putting his hand up with concern and especially no regret in his gaze, making me even more scared.
