SWASTIKA'S POV

I stepped out of the car and then held Madhur's hand. I took a step forward.

I know he's watching us, but I didn't turn around. I don't know why I feel I can't make eye contact with him.

He is someone who actually makes me feel something I felt before, or I can say he is the first man I meet in my life who is a stranger because in our village a girl can't talk to any random guy this might be a big issue for everyone.

And I'm surprised that I don't even feel scared or uncomfortable with him, but this is wrong he is just helping me, nothing else, as somehow I felt Maa was right when she said he will never marry someone like me.

And yes, even I feel the same he is rich, handsome, and educated, unlike me, who doesn't even write her name. It's better if I make distance between us; he is just helping you, Sona.

I entered inside the house with an upset mind, as I was in my own thoughts, totally unaware of my surroundings.

I took a deep breath and shut my eyes close to relax my brain for a second.

As I slowly opened my eyes, my eyes met with a pair of rageful red eyes. I gulped and saw Maa, who was standing in front of me while crossing her arms around her chest.

Glaring at me, then my gaze shifted next to her, where Baba was sitting on the sofa with the same glaring eyes at me.

I narrowed my eyebrows in confusion as I wasn't able to understand their anger.

"Why are you both coming this late?"

Maa asked with a slightly irritating tone, and I gulped my saliva. I was finding an excuse, but then I realized I don't need to be afraid of any of them.

"We want to eat something as he wants, and also I talked about my job,"

I said with a firm voice, trying to get myself free from the unknown fear. She narrowed her eyes and shared a look with Baba.

I didn't react and just kept maintaining my gaze upon them.

"Job?" she muttered. I nodded.

"Why do you need a job when we are looking for a groom for you?,"

She uttered, and this time her voice softened, such a nice try to manipulate my blood boiled as soon as I heard the word groom. They aren't real for this.

They just wanted me to get married so that they can have a great life with us, and I'll pay for their debt I'll never let this happen.

"I'll never get married, and this will be final,"

I stated a little bit loudly, when suddenly I felt a tight grip over my hand. I saw him, Madhur he is looking at me with his doe big eyes with fear in them. I smiled, trying to send comfort at last I'm doing everything for him.

If I left him, my parents would ruin his life as well. I picked him up in my arms and gently hugged him he wrapped his tiny arms around my neck.

"Why are you scared?"

I asked softly. He hid his face in the crook of my neck, and I slowly caressed his back.

"You are leaving me, right?"

He whispered, my heart clenched by his words, Why did he think like this? I can't believe he said this to a little baby who just wanted someone to be with him.

"No, never. You are my baby brother why would I leave you?"

I murmured while hugging his flame I totally forgot about them, as my full attention was towards him.

I started taking steps towards the stairs from going towards my room I don't want any conversation about my marriage now.

"LISTEN, IF YOU DON'T WANT TO GET MARRIED, FORGET ABOUT MADHUR. I'LL NEVER LET YOU TAKE MADHUR FROM US,"

Maa shouted furiously. I felt Madhur shiver and slowly moved his face to see Maa I quickly hid him from seeing her. I gritted my teeth and turned around towards her she has no right to decide our future.

"And how will you stop me from taking him with me?"
