PRATHAM'S POV
"Just told a servant to clean the room that is near my room,"
I muttered without any second thought. I know they must think of every possible way to know about her, but I'll never let that happen, no matter what.
Her eyes got wide with shock. I didn't say anything further and focused on my food. Even they didn't say anything, maybe because she was sitting with us.
I quickly completed my dinner, and then I and Sona went towards the room.
"Wait here until I come back, and then I'll show you to your room," I said in a calm tone. I need to meet Dad he must be waiting for me.
"Okay, but I need to talk to you," She murmured in a low voice, and I hummed in response.
I need to talk to her, but with a free mindset otherwise, everything gets messed up so badly, and now Dad wants to know everything.
"Okay, wait here, and when you get settled in your room, we will talk," I stated in a low voice. She looked at me with her doe eyes like a rabbit.
"Okay, I'll wait for you,"She murmured in her melodious voice. I nodded and turned around to leave the room.
I went towards the general study room, which was used by everyone otherwise, everyone already had their own personal study room in their room.
I knocked on the door, and I heard his voice. I slowly opened the door and went inside, where he was sitting on his chair, one leg above the other.
"Sit, I was waiting for you,"He uttered in his serious voice, pointing towards the chair in front of him. I sat on the chair and placed my right leg above my other leg's knees.
"You want to talk to me," I said calmly, without any extra words.
"Yes, what is with her, Pratham?"He immediately got to the point, but the way he sounded was completely out of my senses.
I gazed upon him, and he fixed his glasses over his eyes with a strict expression on his face. I closed my eyes.
"Nothing I just want to help her dad," I said what I want it's true that I only want to help her and nothing else.
"Are you thinking that we are blind? We are seeing everything about how you are behaving in front of her,"I signed and stared at him with knit eyebrows. I am just helping her nothing else. Maybe this sentence is only for me to satisfy my ego.
"She doesn't know anyone. How can I leave her dad? She is a girl. If anything happens to her, what will happen then?"I stated sternly, I know this is not the way to talk to him, but I don't know why everyone is getting so interested in my life.
It's better if I take her to my farm house she must be living without any problems.
"I'm not talking about leaving her, Pratham; I want to know about you you are being overprotective for her,"I furrowed my eyebrows in a line of surprise and shock at his sentence. Does he mean that? I didn't behave overly protectively at all.
"I'm not behaving overprotective, Dad she just trusts me here, and I don't want to break her trust in me,"I replied calmly, as usual. I was never a short-tempered person who burst out within seconds with a small topic, but when I listened to her, everything turned completely opposite. A weird feeling washed over me every time.
"You are trusting me, and if you have something for her, then obviously we never had any problem with any of you Samrat got married according to him, and we never had problems with Advika they both are really happy, and when it's about Swastika, she is also looking innocent, and maybe she will understand you, which I can't,"He finished with the word I never expected from him. Yes, he never understood me. He tried, but the time had already gone by and there was no use in thinking about me.
But the topic he talked about was that Sona and me. No, not at all. I'll never get married to anyone.
I just don't want anyone in my life. I just need to find out about her, and then I'll leave after knowing everything about her family.
"No, Dad, we have nothing between us. I just want to help her, and now I don't want to talk about it anymore,"
