I woke up to the smell of sex and cigarettes in my room. I rolled over to see Dally passed out asleep next to me. I sighed loudly, pulling the covers off of me, getting up from my bed. I stomped to my bathroom and pulled on some jeans and a white t-shirt, putting my hair in a ponytail. I did some quick makeup and trotted into the living room.
"Well, well, isn't it the one who kept everyone up last night." Sodapop smiled at me.
My face turned red, realizing that everyone must've heard that. As I was just about to defend myself, Dally comes out of my room with messy hair and droopy eyes.
"Just wait till Darrel gets home," Steve chuckles loudly with Soda.
"Nothin' like that happened," I tried defending myself.
"Oh yeah?. Your neck says otherwise." Johnny pointed out.
I sighed deeply, running to the bathroom to see it in the mirror. Dally's markings ran down my neck and chest.
"Jeez Dal!" Pony said as he stared at the markings on my neck.
"Huh?" I heard Dally mumble from behind Pony. Dal took a good look at my neck, smirking. "Oh ya, had to mark what's mine." He smirked, winking at me.
I hit his arm pushing past him into the living room.
"Did Dare seem mad this mornin'?" I asked concerned. I was gonna get it alright.
"Oh yeah, he was fucking pissed." Two-bit laughed. I closed my eyes and sighed deeply.
"Honestly, I didn't see it comin'. Out of every guy you chose Ol' Dal." Steve taunted, patting Dally on the back aggressively.
"Man, shut your trap." Dally rolled his eyes, pushing past everyone and going into my room.
"Man, I really didn't get much sleep last night." Soda complained giving me a look.
"That's not my fault!" I tried defending myself, again. Knowing it will not work.
Everyone looked at me like I was crazy. Johnny stared at me happily, I know he's been wanting this to happen for a while. I walked outside on the deck, lighting a cancer stick. Johnny followed behind me, leaning on railing with me.
"Sooo, how's you and Dal?" Johnny asked very curiously.
"It's not like we're dating. I don't think I really mean much to him I'm just another broad." I said, looking down at my feet.
"I'm sure that's not true Iris, he really is making time for you, He even risked fighting with Darry for you." Johnny's always made me look at things better. He's a very positive person even though he struggles at home.
"I don't know, maybe it was a bad idea.. Dare's gonna be pissed." I explained, taking a long drag from my cigarette.
"Darry can't punish you for loving somebody." Johnny assured me.
"Well, I don't know if I love him or not. The other day we hated each other and it seems odd he's just randomly so attracted to me.." It did seem odd to me. I don't know what he sees in me as well.
"I'm sure it'll get better," Johnny smiled putting his hand on my shoulder.
I smiled back at Johnny, pulling him in for a hug. He's the only one who understands and really cares in the gang. Sure I can go to Soda for things but not as much as I can with Johnny. I see why Dally has this sweet spot for Johnny.
