Minji POV

After hearing that means and Danielle were partners one part of me felt annoyed another one felt giddy I told haerin about it and all she did was laugh about it

"So....me and Danielle are partners for a project" I said through the phone "no way" Haerin said laughing in between words "yes way" I responded hearing her cackle at my misfortune

"A real friend doesn't laugh at her best friend" I scolded Haerin
"Then you never had real friends" Haerin told me as she ended her laughing fit "then ha... ha" I responded sarcastically
A few minutes after that haerin had to go

Present time next day

Minji's POV

"Students the project that I mentioned the day prior to this  is about chemical reactions, I know most of you are going to do a volcano but at least make it creative" Mrs. Trivago stressed I'll looked to my left and glanced at Danielle who seemed to be focused on something else

After class ended I followed Danielle to her locker "so.... Uhm when do you want to start" I was surprised that I managed to speak loud enough "today I guess the faster we finish it the better" Danielle told me I nodded and walked away not realizing I forgot to ask her where we should meet

Haerin's POV

"Haerin!" Hanni called out I sighed and went up to her "hanni  don't shout my name out it's embarrassing" I said as I face palmed "how could you be embarrassed of your bestie" Hanni said in a sarcastically sweet tone "whatever let's just get too class" I told her and she followed

hate to admit it but I think I like Hanni but she doesn't seem to like me back

Class went by as slow as they could possibly go and teachers have been assigning essay after essay I can't wait for school to end I thought to myself

Lunch Danielle POV

All four of us were sitting at the lunch table for the first time in forever and only two of us were actually talking as you could've guessed it wasn't me or minji

"So you two are partners?" Hanni asked "you could say we're more like coworkers" I said "I see" hanni responded minji looked at me and I felt my heart skip some beats  get it out of your head Danielle you can't like her again I thought "so at who's house are going to do the project?" I asked avoiding minji's glances "at mine" minji responded
"Ok.... "

The rest of lunch was like that silence for some time then some one would talk then it would go silent again I got tired of it and left and of course I told them I was leaving because I didn't want anyone to follow me especially Minji

Hanni's POV

After the very awkward lunch me and haerin were going  to calculus when we bumped into someone "we're so sorry!" Haerin yelped and the girl laughed "it's fine my first day has had worse moments than this" she explained "wait, you're new?" I asked "yup, my name is Lee Hyein just transferred today" she told us

"Wow, well what class do you have next?" I asked her.  I hoped wasn't making her uncomfortable with so many  questions. She went through her schedule "calculus" she responded "so do we" haerin said
"No way! can I go with y'all I don't know where it is? " she asked us with a little embarrassment in her voice "of course come with us there is also some people we want you to meet" I said

After school Minji's house
(Minji POV)

"Why are you two and the new girl here I only invited Danielle?" I asked the uninvited guests "well we were bored and we wanted to prevent another argument between you two but mostly because we were bored" hanni explained "whatever just sit where ever you want" I told them

I sat down next to Danielle and started working on the project in a very deep silence I felt haerin, hanni, and Hyein's eyes on me like they wanted me to do something but I just wanted to finish this in peace

Haerin POV

This was more entertaining than watching any movie (like we were supposed to) "so what is this supposed to be" Hyein asked in confusion "well they have a long history which hasn't ended well for both most of the time they talk it ends in an argument" I whispered hanni nodded in agreement

"Oh so they were dating?" She asked "yeah, yeah now let me watch" Hanni rudely said I just rolled my eyes

"Danielle I just wanted to ask you..." I said "yeah what is it?" She responded by putting her notebook down "do you still drink? "I asked she rolled her eyes " of course I do" she said "why?" I asked "none of your business" she told me I decided not to push it
