The truth

Minji POV at lunch

"Today is the day I'm going to tell the truth to Danielle I've been thinking about it for way too long I know we're not on good terms but I have to putting  myself in danger has never looked this good" I told Haerin "minji what do you mean putting yourself in danger " Haerin  responded with curiosity "like I said before it's something extremely private between me and Danielle so don't worry " I assured her "okay then, can we go sit with them again I miss hanni" haerin asked

"You can go alone I'm already done eating anyway" I said as we both stood up. I left the cafeteria with my heart racing I knew I had to confess but I didn't want to hurt her or me . I stayed at the doors of the cafeteria waiting for Danielle to come out because the faster I get this over with the faster I can plan my funeral. About thirty minutes later she came out with hanni I sighed and went up to her "I know we're not on good terms but I have to Tell you something"

Hanni looked at me with a knowing look and left. "What is it then?" she told me "I can't tell you here can we go outside?" I asked and she nodded in response. We stood under a cherry tree and I prepared myself  "Danielle I never wanted to break up the reason I did was because you're parents threatened to ruin my life and fire my mom from your family's company and I just couldn't do that to my mom" I confessed Danielle looked at me blankly

Her fists were balled up and tears appeared in her eyes she suddenly hugged me I hugged back "I missed this" I whispered "I missed you...minji" she said "but...we still can't be together my parents are planning to marrry me off to a some guy after we finish high school" danielle told me  i felt a  tear roll down my face I couldn't lose her again "Minji I know this is hard to believe but I really don't have a choice I want to be with you but I can't.... I'm sorry" Danielle explained softly as let go of the hug and walked away I also went back inside feeling defeated

Danielle's pov at her house after school

My brain was already fried from my situation with minji and my parents made my headache worse "Danielle go get ready now your future husband is coming" my mother ordered  I sighed as I wasn't going to curse at my mother "yes mother" I said as I went up the stairs. I got ready In a couple minutes and went down the stairs I sneaked a flask of alcohol in my purse just in case I need an escape.

I sat in the living room and put on a fake smile for my soon to be husband which arrived with his parents my parents stood up to greet them and I stood up after them and said hello a while later my parents were talking about me like I was a business proposal a little Later they turned to me and whatever the guys name is "go take a walk you two" his mother urged I  I stood up and he followed. 

Outside he kept trying to touch me. "do not put your hands on me!" I screamed "I was just trying to hold your hand and aren't we already dating and by the way all girls would want to be this close to me. I'm handsome, rich, famous literally all of the above." he bragged "first of all we're not dating second of all this girl standing right in front of you doesn't want her hand touched." I told him after that he just kept bragging and being a brat. I took out the flask Of alcohol I had kept in my purse this usually made the boys run away as nobody wants to be with an "alcoholic".  I drank all of it as he ranted about first world problems. 

"let's go back inside I'm getting bored" I told him he scoffed and led the way back inside. luckily his parents were just about to leave. I waved good bye with a fake smile and went up the stairs to wallow in my sorrow.

Next day minji pov (her birthday)

It's my birthday and I couldn't be more excited.it's the end of sophomore year and it's also the end of my childish days as I'm now an adult. 

"happy birthday minji have a wonderful day at school I'll be staying with your grandma so you can have your birthday party here ok" mom told me "thanks mom you're the absolute sweetest"  I complimented her I left and left and got in my car then I picked up haerin "happy 18th birthday bestie!" Haerin screamed with excitement then she handed me a small present I opened the box and saw that it was am expensive ring "haerin you're the best friend I could ever have!!" I screeched "I saved up for months I'm glad you liked it, though I was going to give to hanni, but then again you're my best friend in the whole world. So I had to give to you" haerin smiled I thanked her again and we drove off

When we got to school hanni and hyein wasted no time in giving me a hug "happy birthday minji!!" They both yelled hanni handed me a present and I unwrapped it since I was a little impatient it was a framed picture of everyone together "you guys are going to make me cry,thank you so much" I said emotionally. I saw Danielle from the corner of my eye and she gestured me to go to her I  excused myself from the others and went up to her "happy birthday minji ....even though we're not together as friends I decided to get you a gift" Danielle said  as she gave me a necklace adorned with my name "thank you Danielle" I thanked her and I hugged her "your welcome.... also I wanted to tell you something..... can we date in secret I know it seems impossible?" She asked I was a little surprised "I would love to but...what about your parents, my mom, your future husband,and everyone else I don't want to ruin anyone's life" I answered 

"we'll make it  work" she said

Finally a long chapter after days of 500 word chapters I'm more than delighted to say this is probably my best chapter yet and this is also a treat for the people that have been tuning in to read because before I thought it was just going to be me and my friend reading this but I guess I was wrong anyways I'm leaving on a trip to my home country and idk if I'm going to have internet connection if I do I'll update if I don't y'all will have to wait two months for another chapter.<3 love yall
