A Small Meeting

Soon after this eventful day, everyone returned home. The base's doors opened, drawing a cloud of snow inside. Nick and Cyn had to look around to see if Mark wasn't waiting for them. Vick and Jane were telling U what happened after she was paralyzed. Nick took his friends to his house.

- Wait for me here! - Nick opened the door and checked the house to see if it was empty.

Nick didn't hear or see Mark in the house. When Nick returned to the door, he was surprised to see no one there. Nick began to despair at having lost sight of his friends, but his despair disappeared when he saw U hanging from the ceiling with the Workers.

- Are you serious, U? Do you want to scare me to death? -Nick closed the door tightly, making his friends laugh at his reaction.

- Calm down, Nick. We know how to take care of ourselves perfectly - U landed on the ground with the Workers.

Everyone went to Nick's room.

- Your room looks more decorated than the last time I was here - Cyn sat on Nick's bed.

- Why are we here? - U asked Nick. 

- I just need to make some notes, then I'll take you to your homes - Nick turned on his computer and started writing down today's events with the help of Vick and Jane.

U got bored and sat next to Cyn on Nick's bed. Cyn stared at U with a small smile, which made the Assassin uncomfortable.

- Uhhh... Is there something on my face? - U asked, crossing his arms.

- No, I just didn't realize how beautiful you are - Cyn praised, as she lay on U's lap. 

U wasn't understanding what was happening. It seemed that Cyn was already intimate with U, but they had only met hours ago.

- What the fuck are you doing? - U asked, looking at the Worker.

- Nothing - Cyn snuggled into U's lap.

- Aww. She liked you - Nick said, looking at that scene.

U stood still, while Cyn used her lap as a pillow. Nick, Vick and Jane finished taking notes and everyone was ready to leave the house, but a noise on the first floor made everyone freeze in fear.

- Nick, are you home? - Mark had arrived home.

- Fast! Hide here! - Nick opened a trapdoor in the ceiling of the room.

All the Workers went up to the ventilation.

- Uncle, I'm in my room - Nick called for his uncle.

Mark walked into Nick's room and hugged him. Nick started to get worried, it seemed like Mark was squeezing him and he didn't want to let go.

- We can talk? - Mark asked, releasing Nick from the hug.

Nick and Mark sat on the bed.

- What happened, uncle?

- Where were you? - Mark asked - I looked for you everywhere and I couldn't find you anywhere.

 - I had to go. Doors showed me the place where the humans imprisoned my parents - Nick replied, while looking at the ground.

Mark was silent. Nick was worried, he wanted to say something, but he didn't have the courage. Meanwhile, U and the Workers were listening to Nick and Mark through the ventilation.

- That's what I wanted to talk to you about - Mark caught Nick's attention - I know about the Absolute Solver. Doors had shown me footage of humans experimenting on the Workers involving this program.
