Before we knew it, snow was settling outside and forming a blanket in our back garden, Logan and Matt had half a relationship, they talk every now and then. It's November, I've gone back to work with strict orders from Matt. I can't spend too much time working, the second I yawn, I have to go home. And I'm six months pregnant. Nate has been stand in CEO and with the go ahead from Matt, bumped me to chief administrative officer.

Matt gave Logan the money he needed to pay off James Dean, it was quite the conversation we had. Matt came clean and told me Logan needed 125,000 dollars to pay off his debt and Matt came up with it. I guess deep down Matt does have concern for Logan, even if he comes off as an asshole who hates him.

The audit for the business was a ride, the business accounts were frozen for the last three months, but besides that, everything has been well. As well as it can be. I thought it would put a strain on Matt and I since he didn't have an outlet for his stress and anger, but he's been calm.

You could say things have been going smooth.

At three in the morning, I found myself pacing the penthouse in attempt to tire myself out to go to sleep.

I rest down the hall at the counter and open Matt's laptop and log into my account, deciding to put my time to use while I'm awake. I read some emails and reply to them, despite the hour before I check the stocks section. "Fuck" I mumbled as the screen went black before the stocks pop up and the screen is lit with green streaks while the news of stocks operates across the bottom of my screen.

I made my way downstairs to Matt's office areas in an attempt to tire myself. When we stay here, I made the habit of roaming the main business floor at night. I found it soothing, I don't know why.

Sometimes if Matt doesn't discover me missing, I sneak into his office and sit on his chair, facing the window. The city is beautiful at night. It's even more beautiful to watch the town turn from a dark ghost town with the night sky washing a purple to a busy city as the sun rises.

Since it's winter, the grey skies are bare and depressing.

I'm surprised when I saw Nate in his office, the door open and light on. I looked in and when he saw me, he smiled at me. "Y/N, hey. Why are you up at this time?" He asked and my eyes noticed the moon outside in the sky.

His view is different to Matt's.

I stepped closer and smiled. "I can't sleep and Matt's fast asleep, so he can't keep me entertained" I told him and he laughed. "I saw the stocks increased, what's going on?" I asked, worried about what I saw on Matt's computer.

Nate cleared his throat. "Well, I'm out of a job"

I tilted my head to the side. "What do you mean?"

He smiled. "As of three fifteen, Matt got his business back and I'm not longer the stand in CEO" he told me. "I'm demoted, but it's great for you two"

I stared at him, unsure if he was messing with me or not. He had this humorous side to him that he showed every now and then. "Y/N, why do you look like you're plotting my death?"

"Are you screwing with me?"

"No" he shook his head. "I'm serious. Matt's back as CEO"

I made my way back upstairs to the penthouse, not bothering to be quiet as I let the door close behind me.

"Matt, wake up" I wake him and force him out of his sleep. He groaned, burying himself further in the pillow. "Matt, babe...wake up" I nudged him and he groaned.

"Leave me alone"

I called his name again, shaking him with more force and his eyes flutter open. "What...what's wrong? Are you okay?" He quickly sat up. "Is it the baby?"

"I'm fine. The stocks went up"

He stayed silent and rubbed his eyes. "You woke me for the stock market? I thought you were going into early labour or something" he mumbled, leaning back against the headboard and crossing his arms over his chest. "Unless you're in labour, I'm going back to sleep"

"Matt, get up" I huffed, pulling at the blanket. "I'm in labour" I rolled my eyes in frustration.

"Don't fuck with me" he said into his pillow.

I sighed, frustrated with him. "Matt, the stock is up"

"Y/N, sh"

"Matt, get up" I said, using force to pull the blankets. "We have to go downstairs. Get up" I said, pulling the blankets off him and exposing him. He sat up and rubbed his eyes.

I walk to the door and he slowly followed me, confused. "What the fuck are we doing?" He asked, still rubbing sleep from his eyes.

I grabbed his hand. "You're coming with me"

"That sounds sexy, babe, but I'm tired"

I glared at him before I rolled my eyes, resisting the urge to smile. I can't wait to see the look on his face when he realises our troubles are over and he has his pride and joy back.

"Good to know you're still perverted, even half asleep"

I walk him downstairs and force him into Nate's office, where Nate looked up and smiled at us.

"What am I doing here?" Matt asked, yawning and Nate laughed.

"Nice clothes and that hair, real turn on" Nate winked, gesturing to Matt who looked...a bit of a mess.

I shot Nate a glare and he narrowed his eyes and stopped laughing.

Matt sighed, stretching his arms out, his bones cracking sent shivers down my spine. "What am I doing here?" He asked again, crossing his arms over his chest.

Nate leaned back in his chair. "Congratulations, Matt. You're the CEO again" Nate told him. "You're my boss again"

Matt frowned at Nate. "I've always been your boss"

"Matt, the stocks rose....you're back" I told him for the hundredth time.

I was hoping Nate could get through to him since Matt's tired ass is slow and not functioning.

"No fucking way. You're lying" he gasped, realising what we've been trying to tell him.

Nate gestured to his laptop with the stock exchange on it. "I'm serious...I saw it myself, look. The stocks are up which means you're back and the board can't hold anything over you"

"Bullshit"

"Matt" I gently nudged him for his language, he needs to watch it before our child comes stringing out cuss words before it can read.

Matt cleared his throat. "Sorry"

"You're CEO again, Matt" Nate laughed, watching me sigh in frustration.

Matt's eyes became wide as he flashed me a big smile. "I'm back!"

I stared into his eyes and it was like spring arrived. You know that bubbly, delightful feeling you exhibit when you take that first breath of spring air? That's what I feel looking into his eyes.

He wrapped his arms around my waist, pulling me closer to him. "Congratulations, you have the business back"

"We have it back" he whispered, leaning down to kiss me.

"You do all the work. I just sit and look pretty" I laughed

He shook his head and kissed my forehead.

Nate cleared his throat. "Can you two get a room...that isn't my office?"
