Matt and I managed to gain common ground, after he was released from the hospital. We came to an agreement Matt kept the business but his hours had to be cut down, no more secrets and he listens to me when I try to help him.

To say the least, we've been good leading up to today. Matt has been doing good with his physical therapy, he has his moments when he struggles. Some nights he doesn't sleep because of the memories from his childhood and leading up to now. Sometimes I've woken him from nightmares that left him sweating. With business, Matt is discovering how to draw a line between work and business. As for me, my only job is to keep growing our child.

It turns out I'm just like Matt, I have to always be doing something. I can't sit and watch TV for too long, I go crazy.

I felt the sheets of the bed move and I smiled. He was awake. I watch him move closer before he leaned in and kissed my cheek. "Good morning" He said, before moving back to his side of the bed and sighing.

"Morning, what time is it?"

"It's time for me to get up and get dressed. How long have you been awake?"

I looked over at him. "I just woke up"

Matt laughed, before sitting up and wincing. "Babe, I know that's a lie"

"Just an hour, do you need me today?"

"I always need you" he said, leaning in and kissing me softly, before moving in the bed to stand up from the bed.

I shifted my position and relaxed against the headrest, watching him go to the wardrobe. "I mean at work. Any CAO duties?"

Matt looked at me as he pulled out his suit pants. "I have a meeting at eight and nine and we have one at eleven, then I'm just doing paperwork. I was thinking we could go for dinner?"

"Oh you remember what today is?"

"Today is Monday"

I raised my eyebrow, ignoring the fact he forgot Valentine's Day. I can't blame him, we agreed not to go overboard with it.

We wasted no time in getting ready and rushing around the house for last minute things

"Y/N, let's go, we're going to be late"

"Give me a minute"

"You had thirty, let's go" He said, hurrying me out the door and grabbing my jacket for me, too impatient to wait.

"Why are you moody? You were fine in bed"

Matt sighed, unlocking his car. "I'm stressed and my wound hurts, ignore me"

"I planned to" I said, walking to the passenger side of the car.

"What's wrong?" Matt asked, keeping his eyes on the road. "I can see you from the corner of my eye" he said, looking at me for a minute before looking back at the road.

"I don't know"

"You don't know what's wrong with and why you can't sit still?" He asked, sipping his coffee and putting it back down in the cup holder.

"I'm nauseous"

"Great, just when we have an important meeting" he mumbled, not being sympathetic at all. "Do you need me to take you home?"

"No, but thanks for being sweet" I bit back, leaning my head against the window as the car came to a stop with the traffic.

I heard him groan before he rested his hand on my leg and I brushed his hand away. "I'm sorry"
