The door cracked open and. I looked up to see Matt stepping inside, dressed in jeans and a shirt, simple, but a turn on.

I smiled at him. "Hey. What are you doing here?" I asked, when he placed a plastic bag on the desk.

"I missed my wife" he said, leaning down to kiss me before sitting on the other side of the desk. "I got food in case you're hungry" he gestured to the food.

In general, he's sitting down behind the desk and I'm on the other side, it's a change of events. "Since you decided to work late, I figured I'd join you" he smiled, leaning back in the chair and smiling at me.

"You're a sweetheart"

"I try" he nodded. "How are you? How's our baby?"

He's been radiant ever since I told him the news the other night, now he makes sure to always ask about he or she.

"Good. Hey, my first ultrasound is next week. Anna said she would make sure your schedule is free" I tell him, remembering I told Anna I need Matt on Thursday.

"I wouldn't miss it, so are you ready to hand the reigns back Monday morning" Matt asked, smiling.

I know he's excited to get out of the house and do something. He's not the kind of person who can be left on bed rest for too long. He's been doing okay with gaining his strength and appears to be doing better.

"Babe, it's all yours. I'm worn out. I don't know how you do it...are you sure you're okay to start working? I know you're sore" I asked, not wanting him to feel obligated to take over.

"I'll be fine. I told Anna my first few weeks need to be light and I can't have more than two meetings a day"

"I don't know. I'm uneasy about this"

He sighed. "Y/N, I'll be fine. You can't keep working like this, I need you to relax"

Relaxing sounded amazing, but I knew it wouldn't happen. It's hard to relax when I know he's going to push himself to get back into business because it's tiring me out.

"What about Logan? Am I going back to work for him or what?" I asked, not knowing what was happening with my current position. I'm not even sure if I have a job position. Logan was nice enough to give me time off since the accident.

"You're not working for him" Matt shook his head. "I'm not trying to be controlling, but it would make me feel better if you stayed in our business, so I can keep an eye on you"

"Matt, I don't want special treatment"

"Babe" he sighed. "Let me look after you and give you the option to relax. You don't need to worry about the business or being up at four in the morning"

"Neither do you" I pointed out, knowing well what's good enough for him is good enough for me.

"That's different" he shook his head. "I chose this, you were thrown into it" he sighed as I look up at the screen. Investment stocks.

I looked at the screen, confused. I have no knowledge of what's going on, well, I do. But I don't have an idea what to do.

"You look like you've seen a ghost. Did you get a rude email or something?" He asked, and I bit my lip, looking at him.

"I think I need to call Nate"

"Why?" He asked, standing up from his position in the chair and coming over to me. He put his hand on my armrest as he looked over my shoulder.

"Things are descending, the stocks are- this isn't my thing, I don't know, get Nate" I mumbled, reaching for the phone.

Matt laughed to himself and cleared his throat. "In case you forgot, I'm useful when it comes to business. I might not be able to work the washing machine or play golf, but I can do this"
