Brooklyn POV

I sat in my Marketing class writing down notes as my teacher lectures...

Then my mind wondered off to Dérion. The way his pants bagged a little or his dimples lit up when he was talking to me 😍😩 I haven't seen him since our encounter which was like a month ago I really hope I did the right thing.

But let me focus on my class Mr. Wilson talks alot but he sure has a way with explaining the way marketing and business go hand and hand.

Thirty minutes later and class is finished. I walk out to my car and head on to my uncles house to shower and retwist my dreads.

I'm feeling cheerful today so I take out my only pair of jeans that hug my hips and rear nicely. I go take a sweater out of my pile of clean laundry putting it on, then head to my car. I turn on my radio and Erykah Badu's Bag Lady was playing.

I turned it up and started bopping my head to the soulful beat. Yall just don't understand how much I love me some Badu. She has a unique way of explaining stories about the world. Listening to her songs relate so much to me that I find myself in tears at the end of each.

Bag lady is an example, its basically saying the more you hold on to the past, the more harm your going to do to yourself. Material things aren't important but your piece of mind is more important which is why even though I cry myself to sleep I wake up with a smile on my face because I do have my piece of mind. Others in my situation would've went crazy already.

But the day I'm out of this situation I'll be happy.

I pull up to Chipotle and get a bowl with rice, black beans, chicken with avocado and a sprite. Since I parked under a tree I sit on the trunk of my car, pull out my book and start eating.

Next to Chipotle its a big water fountain with jazz musicians next to it playing their instruments for some money. I'm guessing the dancers are gonna come later.

By the fountain its a lake underneath a board walk that leads through the corporate building with flowers all around, it was so beautiful. Plus it was a nice little breeze going on since it was only 6, so the leaves were swaying which only added to the beauty.

Looking down, a shadow appears on the concrete ground "Thought I'd never see you again" said that deep smooth voice.

I looked up and there stood Dérion looking so fine in a all black suit, with some black loafers, a Rolex, and a diamond earring in each lobe.

I look at him and smile "Hi Dérion" he smirks.

"Is that any way to greet someone you ain't see in almost a month" I start laughing.

"What do you want me to do" he steps forward with a looking innocent

"A hug would be nice"

I hop off the car and raise my arms up so he can bring it in; he slides both hands around my waist as I wrap my arms around his neck and he squeezes me.

I was enjoying this but I didn't wanna get carried away so I let go but he still held on.

"Dérion you can let go now" He slowly releases his tight hold on me

"So what are you doing here, you look good" I say glancing him over he so Fineeee 🙌

"I had a interview with some investors at budget America, I got hungry so I was gonna get something to eat and go home, what about you?" he says putting his hand into his slacks.

"I was eating and studying for my class" I respond crossing my arms.

"OK well you do know me seeing you again means something right?"
