Brooklyn POV
Lastly, contestable market is added to provide freedom of entry and exit. Done. Print. OMG now I can breath I finally finished my essay and all I have to do is turn it into my professor.
I turned off Dérion's Mac book and stretched my arms. Speaking of him he hasn't been home since this morning and its almost 6 so I guess I'll just clean a little. His house wasn't that dirty but it was a little dusty and I have nothing better to do.
And o I got my arm taken off the sling the other day. So I'm able to function with the rest of the humans.
I open most of his closets in search of anything I can use since I'm still not used to anything in this house. Pulling open the last one I see a whole bunch of brand new cleaning supplies that look like they never been touched.
Before I start I go to his stereo system to blast some music. He left his new Kendrick Lamar CD inside. which I don't mind at all, Kendrick Lamar is my MAN! He's another one of my favorites, the mans style is amazing. I'm not even talking about his beats just listening to his words got me thinking.
After this shit he dropped can't no wanna be rapper call themselves the greatest because the king has been deemed.
(A/N: if y'all haven't heard Kendrick Lamar's new album you need help!)
I took the remote and pressed play the first song that played was Institutionalized. I started rapping with him as I was cleaning. I know every word to every song, I swear.
What money got to do with it
When I don't know the full definition of a rap image?
I'm trapped inside the ghetto and I ain't proud to admit it
Institutionalized, I keep runnin' back for a visit
Hol' up
Get it back
I said I'm trapped inside the ghetto and I ain't proud to admit it
Institutionalized, I could still kill me a nigga, so what?I started getting a little hype when Bilal got on the track that thing was too dope. I actually thought I was a real MC. You couldn't tell me nothing when Snoop part came on. I swept from the living room to the steps on the staircase and back to the kitchen.
Then I set the bucket to mop pouring pinesol in it and that's when my song came on. These walls was my shit, it had me grooving and doing some real 70's dances.
I grabbed the mop and used it as a mic.
[Anna Wise:]
Sex, she just want to close her eyes and sway
If you, if you, if you exercise your right to work it out
Its true, its true, its true, shout out to the birthday girls say hey
Say hey, everyone deserves a night to play
And shes plays only when you tell her noIf these walls can talk!
I was mopping and singing. When Bilal's part came on I did a little moonwalk and started singing with em.
[Hook - Bilal:]
If these walls could talk
I can feel your reign when it cries gold lives inside of you
If these walls could talk
I love it when I'm in it, I love it when I'm in itI mopped the whole entire house to the song; all that was left was the windows. O lord yall. Smh. Wesley's Theory came on now you know the party got started. After the intro I started Harlem shaking and in my opinion I was killing it. I got down in a squatting position and started twerking a little I was popping that thang back though. I dropped it like its hot Madea style and got back up popping that thang.
While I was getting into the groove I felt something or someone behind me.
I turned around and it was Dérion trying to grab my waist so I can twerk on him. He scared me a little and when I tried to get up he held me tighter and started dancing like them South Florida dudes.
