Your POV

Today, a great, but sad day: my last day at Hogwarts as a student—graduation day. It's a day I've been anticipating for so long, but now that it's here, I'm torn between excitement and heartbreak. It's a great day because I'm graduating from Hogwarts, but it's also a sad day because it's my last day walking these halls, surrounded by the magic that shaped me. I have friends in every year, and the thought of leaving them behind makes it even harder to say goodbye.
As I walk into the Great Hall for one last time as a student, I take a deep breath, trying to steady my emotions. The enchanted ceiling above reflects a bright, sunny day, but inside, there's a bittersweet air lingering. I make my way to the Gryffindor table, where the familiar faces of my fellow 7th years are gathered, their expressions a mix of excitement and sadness, just like mine.
"Hey, guys!" I say, sliding into a seat next to them.
"Hey!" All the 7th-year Gryffindors respond, their voices filled with an odd blend of enthusiasm and melancholy. We all feel it—the pride of today, but also the weight of the finality of it all.
I smile sympathetically, feeling the same tug in my heart. "I know how you feel. I feel the same way," I say quietly, glancing around the table at the faces I've spent the past seven years growing up with. "But think about it this way, when we graduate today, we'll get to see Freddie and Georgie again."
The mention of their names brings a soft wave of nostalgia over the group. Angelina sighs, her lips curving into a small smile. "I miss them," she admits, her eyes slightly misty. "But I miss Georgie a little more than Freddie."
Lee chuckles softly, though his own sadness is apparent. "I miss them both equally, but that's because they're my best friends," he says, his voice warm but tinged with the ache of old memories.
I nod, my mind drifting back to countless memories with both Freddie and George, their infectious laughter still echoing in my head. "I miss Freddie a little more than Georgie," I confess, a small smile tugging at my lips as I think of Freddie's boundless energy and constant pranks. It's hard not to miss them both, but Freddie holds a special place in my heart.
A soft silence settles over us, the reality sinking in that today marks the end of an era. The hall around us buzzes with excitement, but for us, it's a moment of reflection. We've shared so much here—friendship, love, loss, adventure—and now it's time to step into the next chapter of our lives.
Angelina looks at me, her eyes soft with understanding. "It's strange, isn't it? To think that after today, we'll never sit at this table again as students."
"Yeah," Lee murmurs, glancing around the Great Hall. "It feels like just yesterday we were first years, worried about our first classes and wondering which house we'd be sorted into. Now here we are... about to leave."
"But we're not really leaving, are we?" I say thoughtfully. "We'll always have Hogwarts. It's part of who we are."
My words resonate with all of us. As much as we'll miss this place and the people in it, Hogwarts will always be home. We may be leaving as students, but the friendships, the memories, and the magic will stay with us wherever we go.
As the conversation shifts to lighter topics, the buzz of graduation day starts to take over. The hall fills with the chatter of students, and the professors begin to prepare for the ceremony. I look around one more time, soaking in the sights, the sounds, and the feelings of this place—my home for the last three years.
And even though I feel a tug of sadness, I know that this isn't truly goodbye. It's just the beginning of something new.
As I sit there, taking in the room filled with the familiar faces of my classmates, my eyes drift to the younger students scattered throughout the Great Hall. Some are chatting excitedly, while others are lost in their own worlds, oblivious to the weight of today. I see first-years at the Ravenclaw table nervously practicing their spells under the table, and I smile to myself, remembering when I was that young, when I first walked through these doors, uncertain of what the future would hold.
I glance at Eli, who's sitting across from me, deep in conversation with a few of our friends. His expression mirrors my own—he's always been good at hiding his emotions, but I can tell that underneath his calm facade, he's feeling the same bittersweet mixture of joy and sadness. It's hard not to. We grew up here, faced challenges, and built lives that felt so intertwined with these stone walls.
Freddie crosses my mind again, and I feel a pang of longing. It's been so strange not having him here beside me during these last few moments at school. But I know that soon, after all the speeches and farewells, I'll get to see him again, and that thought brings me some comfort.
The professors finally begin taking their seats at the head table, and the hall starts to quiet down. I feel a shift in the air as everyone senses that the moment is approaching. Graduation—the end of one chapter and the start of another.
I turn to Lee, who is fiddling with his robes, trying to straighten them out. "Do you think you'll come back here one day? To visit, I mean?" I ask, my voice quiet but filled with curiosity.
He grins, giving me a quick nod. "Oh, definitely. Can't stay away from this place for too long. And besides, who's going to keep an eye on all the new pranksters? Gotta make sure they're up to standard."
I chuckle, knowing that Lee will always carry a piece of the mischief he learned from Freddie and George. But there's a softness in his eyes as he says it, a hint of nostalgia for the days when everything was simpler, and the world outside Hogwarts felt so far away.
"I'll miss this," Angelina says softly, her voice barely above a whisper. "All of it. Even the exams... well, maybe not the exams," she adds with a half-hearted laugh.
We all laugh, but it's a quiet, shared moment—a mutual understanding that today is the last time we'll all be together like this. The last time we'll be students of Hogwarts.
The speeches begin, and I try to focus on the words, but my mind keeps drifting. Memories flash through my mind: late-night study sessions in the library, Quidditch matches, meals in this very hall, and countless moments of laughter and joy with the friends who are now more like family. It's overwhelming, the realization that after today, everything changes.
But as I sit there, surrounded by the people who have shaped me, I remind myself that change isn't always a bad thing. It's scary, yes, but it's also exciting. We're about to step into a world full of possibilities, armed with the knowledge, the friendships, and the experiences we gained here.
The final speech comes to an end, and the room erupts into applause. We all stand, our robes rustling as we prepare to take our place in the ceremony. As I walk to the front, my heart pounding in my chest, I catch Eli's  eye, and he gives me a reassuring smile.
This is it.
I take a deep breath, the applause echoing in my ears as I step up to receive my diploma. The moment feels surreal, like I'm watching it happen from outside my own body. But when the diploma is placed in my hands, something shifts inside me—a sense of pride, of accomplishment, of readiness for whatever comes next.
As I walk back to my seat, the weight of today finally settles in. I turn to my friends, a wide smile spreading across my face despite the bittersweetness of it all.
This isn't goodbye. Not really.
We'll always have Hogwarts. And no matter where life takes us from here, the magic of this place—the magic of us—will always be a part of who we are.
And with that thought, the sadness fades, leaving only excitement for the future.

Time skip to after Graduation

After graduation, the crowd in the Great Hall slowly starts to disperse as people hug, laugh, and wipe away the occasional tear. My heart still feels heavy, but there's an undeniable rush of excitement pulsing through me now. We did it. We graduated from Hogwarts.
Outside, the sky is painted with the warm colors of late afternoon, the perfect backdrop for all the photos and celebrations. I walk out with my classmates, feeling the cool breeze on my face. There's a sense of freedom in the air, like we're on the edge of something bigger than any of us can fully grasp yet.
Eli and I walk side by side as we step out into the courtyard. He's quiet for a moment, and then he nudges me with his elbow. "So, what's next? Any plans?" he asks, a soft smile playing on his lips.
I glance around at the bustling crowd, students saying their final goodbyes, families gathered to congratulate them. "Honestly... I don't really know yet," I admit. "But I'm excited to figure it out. And besides, I've got Freddie waiting for me, so I'll start there."
Eli nods, his expression understanding. "Yeah, I figured you'd say that. I'm sure he's going to be over the moon when he sees you." His tone is light, but there's something deeper in his eyes, like he knows how much this moment means to me.
As we stand there, Taylor comes up, grinning from ear to ear, her wand in hand. "Can you believe it? We're done!" she says, pulling me into a tight hug. I laugh, squeezing her back.
"I know! It feels unreal," I reply, feeling a surge of pride for both of us.
After a few more hugs and farewells, Angelina, Lee, Eli, Taylor, and I find a quieter spot in the courtyard, sitting down on the grass, just letting the moment sink in. It feels like the end of an era, but also like the beginning of something even bigger.
Lee starts telling a story about one of his pranks with the twins during fifth year, and we all burst into laughter, the sound ringing out across the courtyard. It's moments like this that remind me we're not really leaving everything behind—we're just taking these memories with us, wherever we go.
Eventually, the group begins to thin out as more families arrive to whisk their children away to whatever awaits them beyond the gates of Hogwarts. But for us, there's no rush. We sit there, savoring the last rays of sun and the feeling of being together in this magical place for just a little longer.
And then, as the sky begins to darken and the stars start to peek through, I hear someone call my name from across the courtyard.
I turn, and my heart skips a beat.
Freddie is there, standing just beyond the archway, grinning at me like he's been waiting his whole life for this moment. His red hair catches the last of the sunlight, and his eyes sparkle with excitement and relief. I can barely contain the smile spreading across my face.
I stand up, feeling the world fade away for a second as I start walking toward him. The moment feels surreal, almost like a dream, but the closer I get, the more real it becomes. When I reach him, he pulls me into a hug so tight that for a moment, I can't breathe. But I don't mind. I've missed him more than I can put into words.
"I knew you'd do it," he whispers into my hair, his voice full of pride.
I pull back slightly, looking up at him with a smile. "Well, I couldn't let you be the only one, could I?"
He laughs, that familiar, contagious laugh, and for a moment, everything feels perfect.
We walk back toward the others, hand in hand, the weight of the day slowly lifting. I catch Eli's eye, and he gives me a knowing grin, as if to say, "Told you he'd be here."
And just like that, surrounded by the people I love, the future doesn't seem so uncertain anymore. It feels wide open, full of possibility. As we all stand there, looking up at the stars, I know that whatever comes next, we'll face it.

Next Time on The Gryffindor and Hufflepuff...

"I can't believe it" I say "I won't be going back to Hogwarts in a few months. I'm going to miss it so much."
"Me too" Lee says
"Me three. I'll miss it, but I'm happy I'll be with Freddie" Angelina says
"I'm happy I'll be with Georgie" I say
