Chapter 25: Rebirth

As the declarations prepared the Maids and their lizardmen equivalent went to the wagons and toppled over the Wagons of gold right down onto the floor spreading the Lizards men Gold every on the floor and piling them near the wagons.

Ainz: "Not enough"

He thought to himself that reviving an NPC takes a ludicrous amount of gold and the gold gathered here is only a great many. And with a tap of his staff he summoned portals on top of the gold piles adding more and more of Yggdrasil gold on top of the Lizardmen gold creating Huge mountains of gold that almost reached the top of the stairs that Ainz was standing on.

Ainz: "That's enough"

He thought and tapped his staff again. Closing the portals stopping the flow of gold. As they stopped all looked around and saw about eight mountains worth of gold, some toppling and mixing in together to form one bigger mountain. The others at the base of the stairs stepped out and moved further in the hallway so as to not be trapped under the piles. As everyone got into position. Ainz readied himself. Putting on his ruler persona and speaking.

Ainz: Today marks the day of our unity with the Lizardmen, today is where we both contribute to the rebirth of Shalltear, what we have gathered today is worth two entire kingdoms worth of gold, any lesser kingdom would let a loyal servant die, we are not that kingdom, we are the Nazarick and Lizardmen empires, with our power combined, we will pull Shalltear from the clutches of death and reintegrate her back into the fold

As he said this. Albedo stepped forward.

Ainz: With this sacred artifact, we will use the gold gathered here to melt them all down and reform her into a being of flesh and blood, leaving her memories and powers intact

When Ainz explained this artifact's condition to revive Shalltear. Mazdamundi stepped forth and gave his own speech.

Mazdamundi: Lizardmen hear me, we have traveled from our temple cities to take part in this rebirth of Shalltear, we have taken in our vast quantities of gold to help with this spell

He said gesturing around the piles of gold.

Mazdamundi: However it is not enough

The people down below murmured to each other wondering why it's not enough. Ainz and Albedo looked at each other in confusion but decided to see how this played out.

Mazdamundi: Even if she was revived, she may not be capable of facing the horrors our old world endured, she is at the peak of her performance and many more creatures besides her have proven her to be more than her equal even as her superior foes

From below the Nazaricks servants murmured wondering what kind of foes that can best all of Nazarick. The lizardmen below nodded solemnly. Even with all their strengths and powers. They had their fair share of difficulties and stains on their honor. Kroq-gar nodded as well and looked at his mechanical hand. He remembered a time when he didn't have his mechanical arm and was breaking out a siege at a doomed city with his brothers and fought his way towards Mazdamundi city.

Losing too many of his brothers and arriving at the city's gate with only he and Grymloq that remind to the travels to the temple city. He felt his side moved and looked over and saw that amber was holding him then felt his other side being held by SkekTek in trying to support their leaders increasing despair. He nodded to the both of them to signal that he was alright and went back to their positions. As their commotion quieted down. Mazdamundi Lifted up his hand holding a plaque.
