Everything's just a movie

June 7th, Friday- Soda's POV:
Steve's been out of the hospital for a few days now, his arms in a cast though because he has muscle damage. But I can tell he's happier, he's on an antidepressant now and he's in therapy, and him and Isaiah go to their moms house too now. They have to move all the way in by the end of the month because his Dad's is getting evicted since he's in prison now.

But he's finally coming over for the weekend like always. For the first time in weeks.
We all hide in different places and turn the lights off, but leave the door unlocked.

He walks straight in and turns the lights on.

"Surprise!" We all shout.

He just laughs, completely unfazed.

Mom cuts up the ice cream cake she bought.
Mint chocolate chip, his favorite.

And he can eat it. He can he eat again! And he's out the hospital! I couldn't be happier.

We basically all get comfy since it's around seven o'clock now. We were gonna go to the play room, but then Mom and Dad called us all back to the couch.

"Okay, so we found this video from ten years ago. And if you laugh you owe one of us a dollar." Dad tells us, but he's already smirking.

"I'm worried." Pony shakes his head.

"Okay, so. Darry was ten, Soda was seven, and Pony was five. And um, we were at the mall and I wanted to get some pictures of them with Santa but this happened." Mom was already wiping tears.

Dad synced his phone with the Tv, and turned it to the side to show us.

The Video:

"I wanted a cute little picture with Santa, but apparently boys are even more scared of  him than girls are."- Luci

"Soda, why don't you go sit on Santa's lap and tell him what you want for Christmas?"- Luci

*clung to her hips *tears coming down face "nO, I dOn't wANt nOThiNg frOm hIM." *cries- Soda

*looks back *Darry having a fit with Marty *wheeze in laughter- Luci

*holding on tightly to his hand  *jumping up and down in a stompy like way "Daddy, no! No, Daddy, no!"- Darry

*can't hold back the smile "Are you serious right now?"- Marty

"YEsss!"- Darry

*Sees him walking off in the direction "Oh look, Ponyboy's gonna go get a picture with Santa."- Luci

"Ohhh, nOOOooo..." *turns away- Soda

"He's gonna get him, Mommy-" *goes to run after Pony *trips on feet and falls- Darry

*wheezing- Luci & Marty

*gasp *sobs- Soda

"I'm gonna piss myself."- Luci

"Look at Marty, he can't get it together!"- Luci

*on his knees cackling into his hands- Marty

*comes running back in tears "ahhhhhh!"- Darry
