Chapter 14

Marilyn's pov

It took a good 2 hours to get back home to volterra and once we arrive I already see Marcus and caius waiting for us

As I walked towards them , i gave them a warm smile

"Welcome back ,tesoro " marcus says

I gave him a hug and it didn't take long for him to wrap his arms around me.

Caius then spoke giving a sly grin to aro before looking at me

"I trust that ,Aro didn't bore you with his endless tales this evening, Marilyn. If he did, you have my deepest  apologies. We can't all be as captivating as Marcus and I, after all."

I couldn't help the giggle coming out of my mouth,  I swear I was turning red. I hid my face within Marcus's robe

Aro gave caius a glare before chuckling softly, his eyes twinkling with a bit of amusement.

"Oh, brother , you wound me. But fear not, Marilyn knows I have other... talents beyond historical monologues. Isn't that right, my dear?"

Caius raised a brow before looking at me

I looked at aro and noticed his smirk, I laugh quietly before playing along

"Oh. Indeed..your storytelling were quite interesting..but I have to admit, I enjoy your other talents aswell"

I felt someone grasp my arm and before I knew it, I was already in caius's embrace. He seemed to hold me a bit more firm than usual but honestly? I hate to admit it but I enjoy it.

Marcus cleared his throat lightly, a faint hint of jest in his tone.

"Indeed, Aro, your ability to... entertain is unparalleled."

Caius had this expression that i couldn't understand but nodded in agreement, adding,

"Yes, quite remarkable, really. Marilyn seems to appreciate your...  diverse skill set."

I looked in awe at the two were they seriously jealous?

I laughed softly before leaning into caius and reaching out to marcus which he gladly accepted

"Come on now, gentlemen . No need to envy your brother.  There's plenty of me around " I gave them warm smiles while also reassuring them

They both knew , I caught their envy.

Marcus simply grinned before saying

"Cara mia , your too kind , though as much as we'd love the company. We wouldn't wanna deprive our dear brother from the pleasure of having your presence now would we?"

Caius grinned while nesting his head within my neck and added

"I agree , we must have a fair share of your company "

I hummed before removing myself from caius much to his reluctance.

I giggled before saying

"Thank you , aro. The evening u have given was truly wonderful. And gentlemen , if you'll excuse me I'll be going inside. "

I turn around and made my way inside.  Today has certainly gave me more and more perspectives of the kin- no my mates. With that thought I made my way inside feeling rather happy to go to bed.

Kings pov

Just as Marilyn entered

Marcus grinned before looking at his brothers

"One would think after millenniums of being together , we would of mastered the idea of sharing and yet....with our lovely mate ...it is as if we are children bickering for a toy"
