Marilyn and Luke walked in a tense, quiet silence through the dimly lit corridors. Marilyn’s mind was racing, trying to process everything that had just happened.

Why had he reacted so harsh? He was never like this..then again , he did change since the last time I saw him but..to yell at a child? That's absurd she thought

She gave a glance at the boy for a second before continuing their walk ... she was still curious as to why this..young boy fell attach to her in mere minutes,  she didn’t want to overwhelm the boy with questions of concern, so she waited, hoping he might speak first.

But Luke, though shaken by Laurent's outburst, seemed equally hesitant, his small hand clutching hers as they walked. He kept glancing up at her, his eyes wide with a mixture of awe and confusion, clearly waiting for her to break the silence.

After what felt like an eternity, Marilyn finally decided to ease the tension. She offered him a soft smile and spoke gently, her voice calm and somewhat soothing. “You know, Luke,” she began, her tone lightening, “I think we both need to take a deep breath after all that, don’t you? How about we find a quiet place to sit down and talk?..Just you and me.”

Luke’s face brightened , He nodded slowly, his grip on her hand tightening just a bit. “Okay,” he whispered, his voice small but steady. “But… can we just go to my room? Its...somewhere far more quiet and...away.”

Marilyn’s non beating heart ached for him, but she kept her smile. “Of course, we can, sweet pea” she reassured him.

“now , lead the way.” She squeezed his hand gently, letting him lead them both down the hall toward his supposed room, safer place where they could talk without fear of interruption...

Or so they think..

Upon arriving at the supposed room of the immortal boy , Marilyn was surprised to see it. Not because of the space it had , no the room was perfect.  yet it lacked the warmth of one would call a "child's room"
