As the venom seared through Marilyn's veins, everyone saw how she fell limp in Laurent's grasp.
Felix and Demetri were frozen with horror and rage , shouted curses and threats at Laurent.
They're voiceswere mixes of rage and desperation .
"you bastard!" Felix roared.
"What have you done!" Demetri yelled
Laurent merely laughed at the guards insults and threats , he walked towards them and kneeled infront of them with Marilyn still in his arms , glancing at her before mockingly looking at them.
"What have I done? Why i merely did a little fate-twisting . You see , It seems destiny isn't quite in accord with my desires, so I'm taking matters into my own hands. Marilyn will come to see things my way, eventually."
Both guards glared deeply at Laurent.
Demetri's voice rang out. "You'll pay dearly for what you've done, the master's will make you pay."
Felix, equally enraged, added with a deep growl, "You've crossed a line, Laurent," His hands clenched into fists, trembling with restrained fury."Mark my words, you will face the wrath of the Volturi for this."
Laurent, unfazed by their threats, smirked coldly, tightening his grip on Marilyn. "Empty threats from mere guards," he scoffed.
"You should be grateful I haven't ended your lives. I'll keep my promise to her."
With a final glance of contempt, he stood up, Marilyn still limp in his arms, and turned to leave but abruptly stop and turned to them once more
"But rest assured, even if you use the very extent of your gift, you won't find her. Not while she's right here in my arms."
As he walked away, the shouts of "No!" echoed behind him, filled with desperation and anger. Laurent paused briefly, casting a nod to one of his companions. In response, the vampire swiftly enacted their gift, causing both Demetri and Felix to gradually succumb to unconsciousness. Their forms slumped to the ground, defeated in their efforts to protect Marilyn.
Laurent's unspoken challenge hung in the air—a mockery aimed at the three kings: Marcus, Aro, and Caius. The message was clear: Marilyn was now beyond their reach...at least for the time being.

Laurent and his companions left the guards unconscious on the ground and left. They needed to leave quickly for he knows the cullens can arrive in any minute.
