I wake up in my bed today. So glad the shenanigans of yesterday are over with.

Today I'm going on a field trip.

Which means I gladly will not be seeing Aurora at all today.

Anyways.

Since I major in stem and minor in photography, my stem teacher gave me permission to skip class today to go to my photography field trip.

Well he didn't really "give me" permission more so he didn't really care what I did as I'm a grown adult and not a high school student anymore.

It's kind of weird though having to get "permission" from my professors as all the other students didn't have to ask their teachers since most other students major in arts or drama or something related to the art world.

I don't really mind that much though since all the drama and art people are pretty chill.

I bring my camera to school before leaving the house.

I can't wait.

As soon as I get to the Yale building, I go straight to my photography classroom.

We're gonna be gone all day which means we need to leave school as early as possible so we can get back as early as possible.

I watch as my professor.

Professor. Dana

Count the heads of all the students riding the bus.

Including me.

Some students decided to drive there or find their own way.

Anyways.

After professor. Dana finish counting everyone she allowed us to go outside and get on the bus.

We only had to take one bus.

Since there weren't a lot of students going on the trip.

Only the honor students were allowed.

So it's not like the bus was jammed full.

I sat down near the back of the second to last seat.

I pressed my body close to the window and put my earphones in.

Not wanting to be bothered.

Though it's not like someone would bothered me anyways.

I stared out the window until I felt a soft tap on my shoulder.

I turnt my head to see who touched me.

"Excuse me, can I sit here?," a brown haired girl with a red ribbon in her hair asked me.

I didn't recognize her.

She must be new or something.

"Sure," I told her.

She sat down.

The bus isn't full so I don't know why she decided to sit next to me.

I wasn't gonna be rude though and obviously I let her sit.

But she really could've picked anywhere else.

I think as I'm about to put my earphones back in my ears.

Until her voice speaking again stopped me.

"Hey so what's your name?" The girl asked smiling at me.

"Julianna, you?"

"I'm Violet"

"Oh like the color?"

"No silly Violet like Violet Beauregard"

That name sounded familiar.

I thought for a second.

Wait.

"LIKE FROM CHARLIE AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY?" I asked in a high pitched voice.

She let out a giggle at my reaction.

"Yes like Charlie and the chocolate factory.

"Do you have a brother named Mike too?"

"No but I do have a brother named Klaus"

"That reminds me of Santa Claus," I tell her laughing quite loudly.

"Yeah I can see how you would mixed those names up but my brothers name is spelt with a k instead of a c"

"Ohh ok"

"Yeah"

"So I don't think I've ever seen you around," I tell her.

"Yeah well I'm new here"

"You are?"

"Yeah I've just transferred here like a month ago from Cambridge"

"Wait like Harvard?"

"Yeah"

"WHY WOULD YOU EVER TRADE HARVARD FOR YALE?? IN WHAT UNIVERSE DOES THAT MAKE SENSE"

"Because I wanted to be like Rory Gilmore," she said shrugging her shoulders.

"Plus Yale has a pretty cool library," she finished.

"For one you're crazy and two you could've been like Elle Woods," I say shaking my head.

"Oh well Yale seems cool"

"How?," I ask her.

"I mean I could meet more cool people like you so," she says shrugging her shoulders once again.

With that I just shake my head at her, put my earphones back in place, and stare out the window as the bus takes us all to photography spot.
