Waiting on you

shut your mouth

I woke up in the morning to Sara snoring so fucking loud. I checked the time and it was 7am. My flight left at 9 am so I had an hour to get ready and be at the airport by 8am. I pushed Sara over because she was basically on top of me and she jumped up.

"What...what happened" she asked getting herself together and wiping the drool from her chin.

"Good morning sleeping beauty" I said laughing at her.

"Shut up" she said throwing a pillow at me and laughing as well. "How are you feeling" she asked

"Like shit but I'll be ok." I said hugging her.

"Promise" she asked sticking out her pinky.

"I promise" I said as I extended my pinky and we pinky swore. Sara helped me get ready and we both shed a few tears knowing we wouldn't see each other for a little bit. Sara was going to bring me to the airport so we didn't have to say our goodbyes yet.

"I'm going to go pull the car up I'll meet you downstairs" she said as she walked out the door. I grabbed my suitcase and my carry on and walked out the door. As I was walking out the door of course Jett had to be walking out of his. Fuck.

"Where are you going" he asked with Hunter following him out the door. 

"you dont need to know" i said picking up my suitcase again and started to walk away.

"alyssa dont be like this" he said grabbing my arm and pulling me to face him.

"no jett you dont get to act like nothing happened yesterday. you couldn't decide what you wanted to do with this relationship so i decided for you" i said pulling my ar from his grasp.

"im gonna go" i heard hunter say from behind jett.

"bye hunter i said opening my arms for a hug. hunter gave me a tight hug almost like he didnt want to let go.

"im so sorry for my brothers stupidity. please dont shut me out" he whispered in my ear as he pulled away.

"ill miss you hunter" i said as i smiled to him. i turned around to walk away again and i heard jett open his mouth.

"no goodbye for me" he said. as if.

"shut up" was all i could get out all i wanted to do was cry but i didnt want him to see how hurt i was. finally i made it down stairs and met sara out at the car. 

"what took you so long" she said putting my suitcase into the trunk.

"jett saw me" i told her as i got into the car.

"oh honey are you ok" she asked.

"yeah i just want to get on this plane" i said as she drove off. the car ride was filled with singing songs and laughing about stupid memories. we pulled into the drop off lane at the airport and sara got out of the car and grabbed my suitcase. we both looked at eachother and started crying.

"im going to miss you" sara said pulling me into a hug

"ill only be gone for a few weeks" i said as i hugged her back

"that's a few weeks too long" she said pulling away from the hug "have a good time" she added

"i love you sara" i said waving goodbye to her.

"i love you" she said waving back. i walked through the doors of the airport and this time there was no one coming to stop me from getting on the plane. i checked my bag in and had my ticket checked as well. i sat for half an hour before my flight started boarding i sat in my seat and waited for take off. i realized the ring was still on my finger and i took it off and shoved it into a pocket on my carry on. i decided on this 8 hour almost 9 hour flight i was going to put some applications in for remote work and get some therapeutic songwriting in. i've always loved writing songs but i could never bring myself to sing them in public. i had a lot of money saved up from working and from being written in my dads will so i didnt have any problems taking off to belgium for a few weeks. the problem was going to be finding things to do. finally we landed and it was close to 6 pm i got a rental car and drove to the air bnb in hasselt. i decided that i was going to go explore tomorrow tonight i was going to get some much needed rest. the air bnb was beautiful it was honestly too big for one person. i fell asleep to a movie on netflix around 9:30. hopefully tomorrow would be a better day.
